The Cheltenham Festival WAS a disaster.

Lost count of how many times I was shouted down and told there wouldn't be a local impact because most of the people were visitors.

It blocks UVB but lost UVA gets through.Glass blocks UV light.
We’re still increasing our confirmed cases by 600 a day. :-/UAE,Qataris, Iranians, Iraqis might be happy to read this.
So when you say simplfy......I can see I have to simplify this for you
1) Currys refund policy is normally to insist you attend a store in person after summons by text to see how much their "voucher"/refund is actually for. The customer then must consider a range of substitutions instead of the cash - which is only offered as a time consuming last resort.
2) Now their stores are closed and their email also turned off the only option for customers wanting refunds is to endure hours of waiting on a paid for call to speak to some poor klutz who then processes the refund and tells you the cheque is in the post.
3) As far as I am aware Currys is the only major retailer not make refunds into the same account used to purchase goods.
4) Currys are criminals.
The only ones that will listen to him would be those likely to vote for him in November.I see Trump is urging all Americans to inject bleach. Just when you think he’s said every stupid thing that there is to say.
Chorophyll and plants absorb light in the visible spectrum,or more accurately differentially in the visible spectrum so they appear green (that's the wavelength they don't absorb). UVC light (mostly already blocked by ozone) the stuff that disrupts life is blocked by glass. It blocks UVB but lost UVA gets through.
Greenhouses wouldn’t work for growing things if UVA didn’t get through.
Matt Hancock has told Sky News it is still too soon for UK lockdown measures to be relaxed, but that he is "comfortable" with some businesses reopening.
The easing begins.

Far far too soon. Sigh.
inject into his veins .
This really does sound promising

Is this a jokey attempt at humility/sarcasm? As I seem to recall you were quite defensive of letting Cheltenham go ahead.
Speaking of the horse racing we should see a massive outbreak in Cheltenham soon if it really was the danger that people said it was.
250,000 visitors to the racecourse over the 4 days, 2.5x the population of the town and most of them ate drank and slept in Cheltenham and the surrounding area too.
4-5 days standard time to show symptoms, today is 5 days from Day 1 of racing.
Yes, but I imagine your nephew didn't just drive to the racecourse, interact with only other visitors and leave.
The people of Cheltenham - the bar staff, temp workers, restaurant and hotel workers are the constant and make up roughly 20-25% of the crowd as well. So then they catch it off the visitors with the virus and go home and spread it to their families and their kids spread it to their class mates and so on.
So even if 80% of racegoers who weren't local then scattered to the four corners of the country (and Ireland) there would still be a massive outbreak at the epicentre.
Then you obviously didn't read my posts, just like @jay_mcfc
I said from the beginning that if Cheltenham was going to be a disaster, we'd know about a month after, because there would be a massive local spike.
You can go back and search my posts in this thread to see that.
What happened, is that because this thread is so hysterical, that anyone saying, "Hold on, the ICL people said it wouldn't be a disaster, we won't know for certain until a month later when a local peak arrives" was taken instead as me saying it should have gone ahead.
Naked sauna anyone? Some weak evidence suggesting that Covid19 could be seasonal and may not affect tropical regions so badly all other things being equal.
An aerosol of the virus in saliva was tested by a US lab and the results presented to the US coronavirus taskforce. Yesterday, they were presented at the Trump show. The results re sunlight are not surprising. UVC kills life - it disrupts the bonds between molecules in nucleic acids because the energy of the light in this wavelength band are comparable to the energy levels in some atoms in nucleic acids. The results of temperature and humidity are interesting and weren't to my knowledge known.
By the way, no point opening your curtains and bathing your room with sunlight, or turning on the light bulb. Glass blocks UV light. Normal light bulbs don't produce UV light.
This suggests that the virus should struggle in the tropics and should be seasonal, and outside in a hot Summer's day might be quite a safe environment provided you are sensible regarding people.
I wish they had investigated saline conditions.....salt can disrupt membrane and cell wall structures due to osmosis. And of course would be relevant to beaches.
Take the top line as normal conditions inside the house (to be honest I don't know what humidity inside the house is), and then look at how sunlight, increased temperature and increased humidity have on the virus half-life.....the time for half the virus levels to be 'denatured'.
This does not mean that Covid19 cannot thrive on the equator - see how it has spread in the dormitories of migrant workers in Singapore (equator). There thousands of migrant workers have caught the virus.
It should be easier to fight the virus near the equator and in the Northern hemisphere at high latitudes it may return in the Autumn / winter. This is only suggestive. Don't get too carried away with it but I thought it was quite interesting and may have some implications for behaviour and lockdowns. Parks/beaches may not be a bad place to be in the Summer if they are not crowded.
A bright day on snow would be good (skiing) a chalet would not! Snow reflects light - hence skiers are prone to sunburn.

I am struck though about fevers and body temperature. It does OK in bodies at 98 F.
This is just interesting and slightly suggests that Covid19 may return in the Autumn/Winter where it will survive outside for slightly longer than would otherwise be the case.
Hancock is a prick saying that, loads will no be gearing up to re open on Monday, he had better clarify pretty quick what he means otherwise loads will be opening
