Weekend announcements though probably 400 spread over 2 days to actually add to the total for Sunday and Monday being weekend stats.

that is encouraging, I find really encouraging also the continuous fall in number of patients in hospital with covid. It falls each day quite a fair bit which shows we are doing something right . Equally all the nightingale hospitals are empty and there seems plenty of capacity in the normal NHS.

I also had a nosey at worldometer and it used to be horrible as cases and deaths were rising all over the world , they seem to be slowing all over the globe.

I only ever book holidays that offer free cancellation anyway. It’s just if you get stuck there when the third, fourth etc wave of the virus comes around that you’re screwed over.

The insurance companies probably have trillions locked way in accounts, funds, assets etc all around the world. Easy money when you don’t have to pay up for the biggest issues.

If you only ever book holidays that can be cancelled, you won't need cancellation insurance.

One thing I look at on Worldometer is the global death rate over the past week and while any deaths are of course sad news, it is encouraging to see how much the week to week global death rate has slowed down. At the worst point a few weeks back, the weekly death toll had gone up by a factor of around 2.4, whereas the weekly toll up to yesterday had gone up by a factor of 1.25.

If I hear Jeremy vine say one more time but italy have relaxed so why can't we,the fucking media know full well we are 3-4 behind,we are bank on their lines for death rates,when we get to where they are in 3-4 weeks time we will be able to relax too,they are adding to the plebs view that we can relax now because other countries are,it is willful shit stirring

Depends what Tests they are using,FDA have let nearly a hundred to be used that they rushed through without approving properly ,some no better than placebo

The governor says he could lift all Restrictions in May but he won't because the numbers will shoot up

I don't know about their accuracy but they seem to be comfortable using them - similar tests in the pipeline now for their emergency/key workers.

The Media need to realise we are in nowhere near as tight of a “lockdown” than Spain, Italy and France are/were. So them relaxing things is pretty much them countries being able to do what we have done for the past 6 weeks.
