Thanks. That's swift. Mine's got a routine one at work tomorrow. No symptoms though.
Wishing you both well.
Might be because she’s NHS working on Covid testing round care homes.

I remain convinced it has been around for 5 months.
This post really tickled me.I remain convinced it has been around for 5 months.
I'm unsure. I'm interested in what permissions they'll request.nope.
You’d need the full PPE for that job! Thanks.

Been doing it about a month or so, maybe a bit longer. You’d need the full PPE for that job!
I don’t envy her.
Is this a new thing they’ve started?
Don’t you realise that the whole point of it is that if you inadvertently come into contact with someone with the virus at say the supermarket, you can be warned? It depends on people staying home and observing the lockdown guidance...oh wait...
The nice, well-behaved people like me have bitten the bullet with the lockdown in good faith, technological tracing is a step too far especially when so many have abused our trust and respect by flouting the rules and put me, my family and other innocent people in danger through their continual disregard.
So I'm comfortable with my position.
That is fair enough, moving foward though this is a key way out of lockdown, shrapps says it is an nhs app and data will be secure, obviously I wouldn't be too sure about that based on history of governments and data protection but if it lets us move out of lockdown and a step nearer normality then it is worth it,they only need 50-60% to make it workable ,i hope they get thatIt depends on people staying home and observing the lockdown guidance...oh wait...

Be like Black Friday only everyone trying to GTFO!Don’t you realise that the whole point of it is that if you inadvertently come into contact with someone with the virus at say the supermarket, you can be warned?

Has this been posted on here (apologies if so...and double apols if it’s been debunked already);
Works well in SK, Singapore and Taiwan. No lockdowns, lots of testing, tracking and tracing. Very few deaths and an economy that’s not fucked.track me, trace me to tell me I might have caught it off someone I've already met?
Now, if they told me, don't go out for 15 minutes whilst we go to the supermarket and arrest the prat who's got it and still gone out that would be different...
If I go out for my daily exercise I assume everyone's got it and keep the hell away, basic sense.
The only use is an app to prove you've been tested and had it so you can flash it to people, or if you want to fly somewhere so they know you're safe. Localised.
The only use to warn you however long after the event that someone we've also nicked personal data off has now got it is for people walking round naively assuming everyone who's out is fine and we can go near them...
The app can't tell you you've caught it, only tell you you've met someone who has and shared the data, and so send people into even more of a tizz.
Doesn't have a function other than to track people, so a government prop which won't be removed after they've got it through.
A rival Sage committee will on Monday back the public use of facemasks in a live-streamed meeting designed to embarrass The Government for its alleged lack of transparency.Former Chief Scientific Adviser Sir David King is setting up a shadow SAGE committee to publically discuss the issues currently being discussed by the real SAGE. The first discussion will be tomorrow at noon going through the evidence on wearing face masks and for possibly shortening the time in lockdown.

Great news. The evidence does need to be examined in a forum that makes the evidence public.
My only issue is that this is the same Sir David King who was head of the real SAGE when the UK's "No face mask" policy was created after examining the SARS epidemic.
Still better than nothing. Whitty and Vallance need to be challenged.

I have an app that the gp surgeries have sent out, whilst it difficult to get into see a dr it allows you to have face to face with a dr on facetime make appts to talk to a dr on it,it does ask for info and copy of a photo id and a picture of yourself,i have gone right through to that bit at the end then hesitated, i won't register unless I can't see my dr in person
Well it seems it has in France apparently!I remain convinced it has been around for 5 months.
Hmmm. Piers gets a test in double quick time.
My understanding is that it is just used to alert you if you have been near someone who has it,confirmed to have it I am not sure,or just symptoms,i don't know till I see it,you can then get a test to see if you have caught it and so onI don't trust it 2bh Karen, the lockdown is a restriction of our freedoms but the majority have bitten the bullet and sacrificed them in the hope we can save people, protect people we care about and get ourselves back to normal with our freedoms restored. When you see this so flagrantly disregarded it stings and makes you less willing to make additional sacrifices, especially when it's something technological that's much harder to track the usage of than a physical restriction being lifted.
If they just want to track cases, then they don't need your personal data, only for you to input say an anonymised code on a test result. The fact they do just shows it's for tracking and then selling the data to third parties who can tie it into your medical records, with the symptoms and see their market, pass it on to insurers etc.
I.e. they just need to know someone in your neighbourhood in Brighton had it x number of weeks ago and is recovering, they don't need to know karen had it and she has x, y, z going on as well and we know she does a, b and c during the day.
If they're not going to track and punish the people abusing the lockdown guidance I just can't really get on board with further restrictions, particularly ones that are far less able to be monitored from the end users perspective.
