Makes no sense. As I say, the total number of people employed in the UK across all sectors is only like 30m ish. 33m maybe. The article says 50% are furloughed. That's 15m, 16m whatever. It cannot be 27m.

I can't access the article and can't be arsed registering but could the 27m include partners who are not working but are being indirectly or directly supported by the state?

I believe the more than half of all adults/27 million figure includes those who are furloughed, claiming benefits, public sector workers or pensioners.

May not be 3 weeks, they have to review in 3 weeks, suggestions some restrictions will be lifted at intervals before the 3 weeks.

In theory if they are in a different room, wipe down after the fitter and don't come into contact with the fitter then they may be ok. However I am guessing there may be more than on fitter and social distancing won't be easy. I am even nervous about the window cleaners coming to my house let alone letting anyone in.

they will be doing exactly the same I bet you. England will be extending lockdown as well with a few restrictions lifted. Longer exercise, park walks fishing whilst maintaining social distancing,

same shit just how it’s spun.

EDIT low and behold now reporting that legally we have to have a review today and Boris will be extending for another 3 weeks with a few concessions to be announced Sunday .
