NZ prime Minister.
Complete opposite to Margaret Thatcher.

I'm beginning to think she is the best world leader out there, she handled the coronavirus better than any other leader in my opinion. Now saying economic growth is not so important.... I think I will move there :)

Wish I could retire out there but don’t have enough money. Our daughter and her family our over there and we have been following her responses to the outbreak closely. They are down to stage 2 now after only 21 deaths (10 in one nursing home). I know they only have a population on about 5m but even so she has done an incredible job. Comes across as a very caring individual as well, unusual for a politician.

I began to take notice of her when she and her government started to determine public investment based on how it would improve NZ citizens quality of life. I thought that was very forward looking. Her response to the virus has been pretty much flawless. Very impressive.

As Australian citizens we can live there with no visa reqd.
Such a beautiful country, our kids are in Oz though.
Been many times.

I’ve lived coming up to 28 years in Oz, and I’ve met thousands of people in my line of business (wine & vineyard tours), and I’m always told that I haven’t lost my Manc accent!!
I bet you sound Australian here though!

A mate of my son’s from Liverpool went to uni in the US and after three years he had a mixed scouse yank (Skank) accent. Most bizarre accent I’ve ever heard.

My cousins were born and raised in Scotland but my uncle (their Dad) had to move to Worthing because of his job after about 10 years. They had this horrible hybrid effed up accent for years after. Needed an interpreter when they visited us.

We had some family friends who moved from Manchester to Kent when their daughters were about 10 and 7, then moved to the US about 3 years later. The older daughter ended up with a mangled Manc/estuary accent and the younger one ended up full yank. Very odd.

33 years for me.
Still sound Stalybridge.
Have loads of Brit friends here, they all sound like they just arrived. Some been here longer than me.
Yet when I lived in LA for 2 years I started picking up American, its infectious, more than Aussie.
