Just crazy.

It's madness that a government would let an advisor do that much damage. Unless of course he's much more than that.

They obviously think they can ride this one out and get public approval back in time for the next election.

For their sake they have to hope they've calculated the damage properly.

ONS figures today show 41k+ deaths not the 37k they are claiming - Brexit damage to come and influence the polls still further. Personally I am happy for Cummings to stay in post with Johnson and destroy the party and the man but we both know Cummings will be made to walk and if the decline isn't reversed the Tory Party have no qualms about changing leader.
 
He won’t lose his most ardent Brexiteers however many people die unnecessarily as demonstrated by one or two posters on the last couple of pages, but they’re becoming an ever more loony fringe now when even Steve Baker is being critical.

They can and are doing what they want. We’ve got at least 9 more years of this bullshit unless Sir Keir grows a pair.

Worth nothing that he got the Tories highest majority for decades on the back of a -14 approval rating in December!

But you cannot be meaning this one can you? I thought that @Bill's intention was quite clear and nothing to do with being uncaring about the lives of British Citizens

I doubt that you could mean this post, but it would be good to confirm that you really are not accusing @Bill of holding the view that:

I certainly did not read his post in such a strange way.

Perhaps whoever did make such posts have sensibly deleted them? - if so can you advise which poster(s) hold such views please - as I would wish to be aware of such disturbed people.

Also, of course, I wouldn't want to be left thinking that you could be twisting the words of others to mean something else - or indeed, using this disastrous pandemic for the purpose of political point-scoring.​

Its another 9 years at least of Tory bullshit Mat, that's why they can afford to take this cavalier attitude to government because they know Starmer is just like them and the Labour party is in a worse state than the Tories. I was thinking about what I wrote the other day about Johnson and how he must go, but then I look at the rest of the halfwits in the Tory party and think, maybe Johnson for a Tory is the least worst option, at least he ain't a real psychopath like Gove or just plain stupid like Priti Vacant. Johnson may be a liar, a narcissist, a philanderer and a **** with a stupid haircut and an over inflated ego but the rest of them are far fucking worse.

I threw my Labour party membership in the bin and I am thinking of joining the CPGB or the Workers Party. Starmer I am certain will make Labour a rejoin the EU party and it will become the party of the metropolitan liberal elites, I am no liberal and I am have fuck all to be elitist about.
