Does anyone else love these little videos from bob mortimer
Got to say probably the only reason to be on twitter some weeks
Some examples below
I'll be honest the first few podcasts of athletico mince were poor in comparison to what they are now. It took a dozen or so before bob steered it in the direction he wanted to go. If you go back and listen to them again (yes I'm that sad I've done it) it's actually a delight to see him develop the characters as it went along.Jesus christ thank you for pointing out Athletico Mince. Nearly crashed my van driving to Norwich listening to these.
His impression of Peter Beardsley with his misses is brilliant.
I was stood in a long queue waiting to get into Asda today so got the earphones out listening to this podcast. I had to turn it off, I was laughing uncontrollably at the Martin from homes under the hammer interviewing Roy Hodgson CLASS!! Love his Nigel Pearson impression "Yuu want ta fiight"
I'm not sure why you think he came out as a bit of a knob? I think maybe paul being the fisherman he did perhaps take it a little bit too seriously at times, but he did have bob dicking about for the most part lol.The fishing show he did with Paul Whitehouse was really good....different than his usual comedy, quite heart warming. Think Whitehouse came out a bit of a knob, but Bob Mortimer is incredibly likeable.
Barry homeowner.Train Guy is hands down the funniest thing in the internet. Eagerly await each new one.

The alderman started out as one throw away comment. Bob then built up a whole world around him, charity does, kissing him etc.
Early Beardsley sounded totally different than it does now. He even invented a voice for his wife.
Same with African tales. The first one was sketchy, but bob applied his brilliance and made it genius.
Hodgeson warrrammur
Steve and casper and the fat lass.
Mick mcarthy ya bastads.
Bobs Sunderland songs, the fun bus lol.
Some of the gangs of the epl is amongst the best audio comedy ever made, the accents, the traits of the players, harry kanes chin, don't pass to vardy, sterling admitted to great Ormand street, zlatins bumhole, Phil Jones yes please. Just fantastic fun. I bet not one player has been offended, in fact they want to be in it.
If you haven't listened before go back to the beginning you won't regret it it's fucking brilliant escapism
To be honest mate I'd start at the beginning, it gets going properly after half a dozen or so and there only half an hour ish.i havent started oin the podcast yet...is it worth starting somewhere else rather than the start??? how far in? Or do you need the early ones for context?

It's great hearing it develop into what it is now.
If you like off the wall comedy you're in for a treat.
Enjoy
