"Fair play"? Are you kidding me? It is the same, I adore City, have done since the days of Uwe and Georgi. I just don't have a wealth of match going experience to draw on to compare with others.

But i'm not as privileged as some to have a season ticket, or people to take me to matches when I was kid. Politics are not my passion. Defending my decision has become a weekly occurance because there are some who simply won't accept it. That's pretty low of you to assume that because I post in a particular forum that means that's all I care about/focus most on and that I don't care about Manchester City as much as anyone else. I joined several years before all the political shit. Seriously is this just the "match attendees" forum? I've been 8 times, and only to CoMS/Etihad. Guessing I don't get a TC badge.

Mostly I read the threads on City on Bluemoon; I just don't post much on threads about certain players, away days, CL games etc.

But sure, cast me aside as a part-time Blue or something, just because other things dominate my personal life and I don't have the confidence to debate City related topics without sounding out of my depths, but each to their own, and all that.

Your views on City are just as valid as those who have been going home and away for years. Some of those talk rubbish about the blues.

If you don’t feel qualified to comment on City because you don’t go to the matches, why do you feel qualified to talk about Europe when you’ve never been?

Not on here it seems.

Seems you need to have attendance badges or proof of a signed ticket from a game in 1979 to be a member of the "group".
I'd love to chat more shit about City related topics, but it would be just that; shit.
Promotion game against Charlton? Just a baby. The 5-1? Toddler. My first City game was at home to Lokeren. I'm just not as invested in things like how individual players performed from one week to the next, or their current form. Fair dos to those that do, and I do read those threads, but i've not much to say on them is all.

Im not casting you aside, as you put it. No need to be so sensitive. Was merely pointing out that you, and certain others, seem more passionate about Brexit than City.

Ok boomer.

(see, that's how it works)

That's how people do it now.

Not really, I lived life, had fun, met the woman I wanted to be with and got married.

If that makes me a boomer, then I am glad to be one and not sure what you are making it out to be.

Do you call people boomers that have lives that you want to have?

Guess you can’t comment of making things personal moving forwards as that’s what you’re trying to do with me.

Well i'm telling you, i'm not more interested in politics, it's just worked out that the majority of my posts have been on the subject, and my posting history should never be seen as indicative of my opinions about where my passions are.

There's only so many times you can post "GET INNNNN!" on the match threads. Because that's how I used to bolster my post count early on, because you cannot deny, there was once a major "post count heirarchy" going on at once stage, where posters with low post counts were dismissed. You think i'm happy that probably 50% of my posts are on the political forums?

Erm, no that's not what "boomer" means, it's someone who talks shit about other generations by trying to sound superior without knowing or considering that other generations have spawned new cultures that may seem strange and frightening to them, so the only response they have is to attack it.

FYI, it's not "good" to be seen as a boomer. It means you're proud of being ignorant.

As earlier highlighted, why ware you commenting this? Makes no sense to me.

Are you jealous of people who can socialise outside of their bed sit?
No, i'm critical of ignorant people who shit all over other cultures and generational practices just because they don't do them themselves.

Some of us grew up in a different world to you, and we have technology that influenced a lot of it and how we choose to interact. You live your life however you want.

I think you’re overplaying the “group” thing a bit. Some of the football, especially match day threads can get a bit much but they are nowhere near as polarising as the political threads. There’s many a poster, including you, I’m not going to see eye to eye with politically but I find it quite grounding and refreshing to find common ground as a blue.

Fair enough if finances dictate you don’t get to many games, you can still express an opinion. Personally I rarely read individual player threads because I’m not so interested in some of the opinions expressed there.

I don't feel "qualified".

But if someone's going to shit on my opinions i'm going to defend them. I've done that on City threads i've been involved in, too.

Ok, loner

I know I can still express an opinion, i'm saying I don't feel confident in expressing them most of the time because I feel like it's likely something everyone's already discussed by the time i've come across it.

My forte is humour; City memes, City gifs, Phil Jones looking like an ass to get a laugh, reaction gifs during match threads. That sort of thing. If it raises a smile, which it often does, out of a fellow Blue, that's all good.

Playing to the crowd to try to feel relevant.

Half the time this thread becomes the "Let's discuss Metal Biker" thread.
