I have no need to, its very much brexit related.

You asked a question about peoples reasons and I've given you mine and pointed out my issue with FOM and the effects it has on everyone.
I have often wondered at the Remainer logic as they seek to insult Leavers

That Leavers wish to end the discrimination inherent to FOM and open up immigration to people from around the world - no matter race, religion or colour = Leavers are racist

That takes some really complex logic - peculiar to Remainers

Whats he saying? Let me guess, no progress? If thats the case then he/ they are starting to get worried. Just hold your nerve UK negotiators! Now is not the time to blink.
Bit of a shit negotiator, ain't he.

Come on Barnier, you're trying to get a deal with ONE nation, not 27. ;)

(this is tongue-in-cheek and not to be taken seriously, so those who are offended, save yourself the trouble from replying to it. Yes, we're at the stage of putting disclaimers on obvious jokes now.)

It’s posts like this that make me laugh.
Although it’s probably true that the EU negotiators are worried that there’s no progress, the view that they’re about to fold and let us have what we want is cloud cuckoo land. They know for a fact, as does anyone who’s not living in a Brexit fantasyland, that the impact of No Deal will be much worse for us, and we’ve made practically no preparations for this outcome. All this bullshit about a credible walk away option is just that - bullshit, regurgitated repetitively by the Brexit cheerleaders.

No need to explain that this is a joke post.
Practically all your posts fall into this category.

He’s used to negotiating with people who fear no deal. Now we have a Tory party which has been purged of the likes of Soubry and Clarke, and has an 80 seat majority. The cabinet and pm are pro Brexit and are ok with a no deal outcome, and can deliver it politically. Remainers are now irrelevant and can’t be relied upon to undermine the UK side in the negotiation. This means that the dynamics have changed and Barnier is struggling to come to terms with this. Fun to watch.

All hard negotiations go down to the wire. Unless one side blinks first. Not extending the transition period was the best thing we could do to get the deal thats best for us. Why come out and say there is no movement unless you were concerned. If you were happy you would sit tight and say nowt. Similarly if we were going to be so much worse off when we leave why try and tie us to the EU with all these strings. Barnier is a politcian and it shows. Hes seems more interested in his public image.

If he wants an extension why doesn’t he just request one? I’m sure we’d consider it and get back to him ;)

I think his concern about no movement in the talks is borne of us backtracking on the declaration, rather than the EU about to buckle to our demands. Goes without saying but the EU don't want no deal as it hurts them, but it hurts us more.

Last week he suggested that it might be needed and if the UK wants one it would be considered. The UK simply stated we would not be asking for one. You can imagine the looks on their faces when they discussed this. The German CBI saying to Merkle you promised us tariff free access to one of biggest markets in Europe!

We are entitled to backtrack if we dont like the declaration. Similarly a no deal means no money from the UK into EU coffers.
Your last point is highly debatable especially long term. As it allows us to trade with other countries.

Do you mean the 'strings' that Johnson signed his name to in the PD?

What would make anyone think we can’t trade with other countries right now and for the duration of our EU membership?

It was us who made the Political Declaration. We are of course entitled to backtrack from it but it makes us look like mugs. Untrustworthy mugs at that. It’s not going to help us to negotiate in good faith. We’re already trying to squirm out of what we signed up for in the WA with regards to the NI border.

It’s incredible that people think that this is the best way to negotiate. Set up our stall then totally ignore it. Hardly Henry Kissinger stuff.

If it’s indicative of the general level of awareness amongst Brexit supporters of how we should interact with the rest of the world it’s no surprise that the outlook is shit.
