The protesters have done the government a huge favour. Either they will have no effect in which case this will justify the release of the lockdown, or they will cause a spike in infections and deaths in which case the protesters will cop for the blame. As someone who is opposed to the lockdown I congratulate them on their efforts to expose the hypocrisy of the media.The protests, whilst a more serious reason, were much worse than the above, maybe not tubes and buses but those people had to go to work. The VE celebrations weren’t 15,000 in a packed city centre square and neither were the beaches.

I'm not happy with it at all, if white British people just sold and bought to white British people we'd be in a right pickle. I'm not saying that it doesn't happen and there is very little we can actually do about it but it's racism isn't it?
It is, in a way, but it's also necessary to survive before expanding out, for some demographics.
I think, not enough is known about other cultures as there's not much learning about it in education, so therefore people will tend to stick with what they're familiar with.
Black people are one of the few demographics that don't spend enough in their own community as they're so used to spending in the White one.
You have to look at it the other way, too.
If people are willing to risk getting the virus (note not disregarding it as many wore masks and gloves), then it must be a cause worth risking for to them.

All but the most brain dead cannot dispute that it is very much a cause worth taking some risks for, but not risking other people. If there is a march or protest I will gladly go myself as would many normally indifferent white people of my age. By doing so I take a risk of getting clumped by plod if it all goes iffy.
As always in these things though I would say some are informed but there will be some that are stupid ie the ones vandalising and kicking off with the police. Just like the far right the far left are a menace albeit a small one but their impact does and can destroy many a worthy cause.
