Been watching an Australian series called Top of the Lake, the first season is set in New Zealand and this recent series set in Sydney.
Elisabeth Moss stars. And the big tall woman from Game of Thrones is in it. Can't remember her name but she sounds English.
I would recommend it , for an Australian series it is very well made with quality actors.

It's very good. Anything with Elizabeth Moss in it has a good chance of being good.

Anyone seen Cardinal? Just started the first series on IPlayer and enjoyed the first couple of episodes. I think the 4th series is on BBC at the moment. The lead actress is gorgeous too so always helps.

Yes, it's surprisingly good considering it's Canadian.

Not sure I've ever seen anything else Canadian so don't have any preconceptions! Maybe Due South and that comedy sketch show where they said "I'm squeezing your face" or something along those lines! A little different to this show though!

Yes it's decent but it looks bloody cold there. Always think the lead actor looks like Rhod Gilbert.

Finished S2 of After Life. Not as good as S1 for me, but still pretty good.

I just don't see the need to push it to the extremities they did, S1 worked because of the subtlety. The slightly awkward got uncomfortably awkward, the slighltly cheeky got pointlesly vulgar etc etc. The finesse certainly wasnt there. And the therapist scenes were proper cringe, he contributed absolutely nothing to S2.

Still, enjoyed it, some good emotional bits, some laughs, i just hope they resist the urge to constantly outdo themselves in S3.
