TV Series

Yes it's decent but it looks bloody cold there. Always think the lead actor looks like Rhod Gilbert.
Yeah good shout! The Mrs thinks he looks like the dad out of a programme called Raising Hope if you ever saw that, just looked him up hes called Garret Dillahunt.

As previously stated, I'm more interested in his partner!

I watched the new instalment of ESPN’s 30/30 last night, ‘be water’...

For any Bruce Lee fan it is a must, easily the best documentary ever made on him and extremely poignant considering the racial tensions that are heightened at the moment!

Finished S2 of After Life. Not as good as S1 for me, but still pretty good.

I just don't see the need to push it to the extremities they did, S1 worked because of the subtlety. The slightly awkward got uncomfortably awkward, the slighltly cheeky got pointlesly vulgar etc etc. The finesse certainly wasnt there. And the therapist scenes were proper cringe, he contributed absolutely nothing to S2.

Still, enjoyed it, some good emotional bits, some laughs, i just hope they resist the urge to constantly outdo themselves in S3.
I’ve watched all sorts with the missus over the years and she’s no shrinking violet but the therapist scenes with Dennis Pennis has me squirming. So unfunny and over the top.

A mild disinterest in what his clients were saying would’ve been so much better than the onslaught of vulgar shite he came out with.

On the other hand, I think it’s the best thing on TV just now. Cracking acting and writing. Just don’t expect too many giggles. Mark Ruffalo is an amazing actor. We only have the last episode to go. Defo watch it mate.

I like Ruffalo - what's this show?

Also...anyone find 'The Night Of' anywhere?

Post separation I only have 'terristial telly' supplemented by Netflix & Prime (and on an older TV that's leant against the wall...my life is so fucking tragic at the moment, but could be worse). Is this on BT/Virgain? Love to see that...funny how Bruce Lee died when I was born at such a young age, made a handful of films but his spirit still reverberates today. Wonder if that energy would've persisted if he were around today (doing lockdown insta vids from his LA mansion....).
Recently re read that 'real fight' he had (Wong Jack Man?) his speed was incredible.
I recently found a picture of when my daughter was born 15 years ago and there was bruce on the pic (on my tee). I was doing Kung Fu at the time (as in that period rather than at the birth).

'I know this much is true'. Its set in the 70s. Ruffalo plays both parts twin brothers. One is bi polar, the other would never be given the nickname 'lucky'.
Its about their relationship. Brilliant cast, acting and writing. The story is intense. After the first episode I thought fuck me that was depressing but have stuck with it and been rewarded for doing so. Nailed on awards for Ruffalo. Nice to see a cameo from Juliet Lewis too. Think its on Sky Atlantic, made by HBO.

Watched 4 episodes so far and it is excellent but it won't be for everyone. Great performances throughout, even Rosie O'Donnell!

Ahh - saw this when he was Graham Norton. Haven't got HBO access unfortunately. Looks good however...

the documentary focuses on the acceptance of the wider community of Asians in North America at the time, like casual racism is acceptable, Bruce said ‘fuck that’ and brought out the nunchucks...

I have a few links, this one is usually reliable for you to watch

Anyone watching Solar Opposites? I'm quite liking the 'Escape From NY' subplot of the people that have been shrunk down and held captive. They should just do a spin off of that.
