TV Series

Finished S2 of After Life. Not as good as S1 for me, but still pretty good.

I just don't see the need to push it to the extremities they did, S1 worked because of the subtlety. The slightly awkward got uncomfortably awkward, the slighltly cheeky got pointlesly vulgar etc etc. The finesse certainly wasnt there. And the therapist scenes were proper cringe, he contributed absolutely nothing to S2.

Still, enjoyed it, some good emotional bits, some laughs, i just hope they resist the urge to constantly outdo themselves in S3.

Perfect summary, the therapist was just embarrassingly bad. The series reverted to "typical Gervais" which I'm not a fan of tbh

the documentary focuses on the acceptance of the wider community of Asians in North America at the time, like casual racism is acceptable, Bruce said ‘fuck that’ and brought out the nunchucks...

I have a few links, this one is usually reliable for you to watch

Absolutely he did. Not one for convention was he? He did the same to the traditional Chinese martial arts community. He’s eminently listenable and watchable.

ta for the linkie mate

Save the last dance - the first episode was really good considering I know nothing about basketball and Jordan.
Keep going. I was the same but really enjoyed it. Episode 2 introduces Scottie Pippen and episode 3 introduces Dennis Rodman.

After that it tells the story of how Jordan took the team on his journey to be the best.

Post separation I only have 'terristial telly' supplemented by Netflix & Prime (and on an older TV that's leant against the wall...my life is so fucking tragic at the moment, but could be worse). Is this on BT/Virgain? Love to see that...funny how Bruce Lee died when I was born at such a young age, made a handful of films but his spirit still reverberates today. Wonder if that energy would've persisted if he were around today (doing lockdown insta vids from his LA mansion....).
Recently re read that 'real fight' he had (Wong Jack Man?) his speed was incredible.
I recently found a picture of when my daughter was born 15 years ago and there was bruce on the pic (on my tee). I was doing Kung Fu at the time (as in that period rather than at the birth).
Downloaded 5 episodes. How many to go..

Thanks for that! I don't think I've ever sat so still taking in a docu.

Brilliantly put together!

Started watching Gangs of London, up to episode 2 - watchable but it just seems to be like everyone is trying too hard and it’s far too corny.
Is it worth persevering or is it more of the same

I sacked it after the 4th episode. The fight scenes did it for me.

I’ve just given up on The Sopranos after 7 episodes. It’s fucking shite! Couldn’t be doing with the cartoon punching sounds when big tony was filling someone in.

It was engrossing...

I remember watching enter the dragon as a kid and in the aftermath hitting my dad with some homemade nunchucks in the fod, great times

An iconic figure which is sometimes underplayed in the impact he had, the documentary brings together the barriers he faced brilliantly, where previous ones go around the houses...

Anyone watching ‘I may destroy you’? Watched the first one last night and it looks promising.

Always nice to see Mickey Dolenz look like he's about to break into a rendition of I'm a Believer.

Same here, the number of people telling me I should watch it was of the scale and all it did was bore my bollocks off after about 5 episodes

Thought Space Force had some quality moments. Really enjoyed it. Malkovich amazing as always, but the whole cast were great.
It got some bad reviews so I approached without high expectations. I enjoyed though, it didn’t take itself seriously and it was light-hearted fun. I do feel with the right script and comedy actors it could have been a classic, a missed opportunity perhaps, because the subject matter was unique.
