Is Godfrey trying to get " a Bloom" the international measure of disadvantage?
buggerLol I couldn't say I'm not that well in.
Notice how no one is talking about race issues today?
It’s either been whether they’ll be scrap or graffiti.
The Elmo family turn ANTIFA...
FUCK YOU ELMO!!
Yeah, you would imagine the actual number of people who genuinely want the statue of Churchill brought down, or want episodes of Fawlty Towers to be pulled, are miniscule. Yet the whole discourse is now about that, rather than the legitimate grievances of the BAME communities in this country.
While I shed no tears for the statues of 'problematic' historical figures [to put it mildly] being torn down, the conversation surrounding the statues and the TV shows being pulled is nothing more than a distraction from the real issue [both here and in the US]. I have no interest in symbolic gestures.
I can guarantee you there was no-one out here offended by a Faulty Towers episode from the 70's. I'd be more interested in a more genuine conversation on race relations in the country {and the US too, but I'm from here, so ...] and the implementation of actual changes to improve our society. The uproar about TV shows and statues is an irrelevant distraction. Our progressive allies might view a TV show being pulled as a victory for BLM but, if we're being honest, it means nothing.
To be fair, Elmo is black.
Actually, I just remembered the original Elmo resigned, and now he's white.
Which part is incorrect then?I'm not arguing, i'm pointing out the incorrect post you did.
You know what?
I realised my answer wasn't sufficient so I'll let someone else who knows better than I answer...

Haha he bloody struggled with that one didn’t he?
The thing is, his answer can be an easy one but he’ll never say it because it isn’t politically correct.
Quite frankly it doesn’t matter what the demography of the cabinet, or any other body of people in the country, is. It only matters that the best people for the job are doing the jobs. So if the cabinet happens to be all white males in their 40s or all black females in their 60s, if they are the best people for the jobs then that’s all that matters.
Not that the best people for the jobs are ever in them in govt haha!
But no body of people should have diversity for the sake of diversity.
Of course, if Hancock has said that, he’d probably have to step down. But it doesn’t make it any less true.
More police brutality in the USA. This is basically murder.
Seriously, what the f*ck is wrong with people?

What sort of question is thatNot by me she doesn’t
Happy to mention her when relevant though.
Karen Do you think it is acceptable to attack the police?
If so as the mp for that area I would expect some sort of condemnation
They say they glanced at the police once I think, facts are more black people get pulled over by police and has been the case for years, especially if they have a nice car,it is profilingI'm going to say something unpopular here but I don't see why Suffolk Police have felt the need to go on the defensive over this. People are stopped up and down the country driving their cars for license checks and whatever, it's how a lot of vehicle crime is detected. Otherwise what's the point in sitting a driving test and going through that whole process if nobody is ever going to enforce it anyway?
If, as the officers suggest, the occupants of the car were continually glancing over at the Police then yeah, its reasonable to suggest that might make them a bit suspicious, no? In any case, a very quick licence check and they'd have been on their way - no issues and probably told to enjoy their day.
The comments about jumping on the bandwagon were in poor taste and worthy of criticism, but it seems like they've been drawn in to an argument because the occupants have immediately went on the defensive and played the racial profiling card when it's simply not the case.
Spot checks happen up and down the country, if you have a licence, insurance etc then there's absolutely nothing to worry about. I'd rather get stopped a few times in the mindset that our roads are as safe as possible for everyone to drive on, as opposed to not stopping and engaging with people and the inevitable free for all which arises.
Sorry if people disagree, but just saying it how I see it. So longs the Police stop you and engage in a courteous manner whilst getting the stop check dealt with as quickly as possible so that road users can go ahead and enjoy the rest of their day then I don't see the problem.
One that seemingly makes little sense, from what I can tell. What sort of question is that
