Pretty sure most on here have condemned the violence from both protests. Me included.

The issue then becomes the context:

- Last week the violence came from the minority, out of thousands and thousands of people. However the majority weren't looking for violence only to spread an important message about equality, the violence from a few shouldn't make us forget that.

- Todays protest was about what? The only okay answer is the statues and even that is pathetic as they were already adequately protected. The reality is that the majority of today's protest just went out looking for a fight and tried to shit all over last weeks protest with their racist, bigoted views.

Nobody is saying that violence from either protest is acceptable but it also isn't fair to lump the 2 protests together.

Just had a good read of the general gist of this Twitter account he doesn't like Britain in any shape or form that's for sure. Not one positive whatsoever .

Piccaninnies with water melon smiles, letter boxes and bank robbers - why would they suppress this - apart from on racial grounds given in the recent past they thought it was unwise to do so because of the on-going racial tensions? Just have a gander at the Guardian piece considering it's a very much left leaning paper and they aren't too happy with the far left mob, it's a given they don't like the far right mob either.

I hate to defend the Mail but the headline was "Black Lives Matter supporter carries white 'far-right' protester to safety after he was beaten up in violent clashes between rival troublemakers at London Waterloo station"

Rayshard Brooks was shot in the back by police officers last night in Atlanta Georgia. Witnesses have video of the police officers picking up the shells before checking to see if Brooks was still alive. He died in Hospital later.

That country is a tinder box and the only way they’ll do anything substantial is if the rest of the world treat it as they did with South Africa.

I hope someone in Parliament asks Boris to lead. We know what the answer will be already sadly.

Again one of the issues the USA has to understand is firing the officer isn't a remedy - they join another PD in the country - as long as they avoid punishment there is no equality - end of.

Brooks Attorney just did a press conference where you could see he was trying hard to keep his language civil and not to inflame more protests. When asked about the police chiefs resignation he scowled “I don’t care!”
