I'm sure Bolton struggled with decision. Even so I've no doubt Barr would have done everything in his power to prevent him from testifying anyway.

Even in the unlikely event he'd been allowed to testify, Bolton would have been totally discredited and destroyed by a bunch of GOP liars. He would likely have ended up spending his dying days trying repair to what was left of his reputation.

At least with his book he gets to tell the story his way and see where the chips fall.

All he had to do was turn up. He might have had to testify behind closed doors but that just adds credibility. The GOP would have tried to take him down but he is a longstanding GOP hawk. It would not wash with him. It would have made him where as this book will always have 'should have testified' hanging over it.

I still believe GOP lawyers would have had him tied in knots claiming National Security implications. Any testimony behind closed doors would never see the light of day in the court of public opinion, and GOP senators would still have voted along party lines.

It had to do with what Dr's and Scientist from other regions (Belgium, China, Italy, Malaysia) recommended regarding the drug that tipped the scale. Not to mention continued anecdotal evidence of it being somewhat effective.

The choke hold is banned unless the officer thinks their life is at risk,like the officer did when he shot the guy in the back..no mention of kneeling on necks
