Marcus Rashford lobbying govt to help vulnerable children

Regardless who he plays for or who penned the letter for him, it is still a wake up call for me to put poverty at the top of my list when voting in the next election.

No child should go hungry or starve in 2020, they can’t concentrate in school or achieve their potential if they are starving.

Sad indictment of society and parenting that we need this measure.
This the bit that is often missed; there are some families out there that have fallen on hard times and need help but there are some real ****s of parents.
Not that the kids don't need help and it's fine treating the symptoms but we need to break the cycle.

Just watched his interview on BBC Breakfast.

An absolute geezer.

Rashford for PM.
Silly Sally and the BBC pushed their own involvement by intervewing him on Sunday night and what they achieved over 5 days.

The charities involved in fighting for kids on a daily basis should be getting some credit for their efforts.

I am not going to criticise Rashford but the praise in the media is a little over the top. Firstly, he has only been interviewed and said that school meals should be given, blah blah blah. I just wonder when he took his hand out of his pocket, how much did he contribute. Now think of Craig Bellamy and what he did for under privileged kids and how much hard cash he handed over. Then try to think what coverage he received. Just a little perspective needed here.

I cannot believe there are those knocking him. Well done to the lad. It will be a pleasure to cheer him on when he has an England shirt on, maybe even a rag one when they play Liverpool. At all other times for 90mins a couple of times a week he well remain a massive ****, but at all other times a top young man who is very clearly wired right and a thoroughly decent human being.

I hope he does pull the right shirt on one day.
