I agree he shouldn't be with the first team anymore, he shouldn't be on the bench, and he shouldn't be training with them.

Gutted he's not staying. Absolutely brilliant player who arguably has the highest ceiling of all of our players who are under 25.

I reckon he's the first player of the modern era who we'll lose before we wanted to. The only one who will achieve his peak away from City.

It's a shame, but I think it's more complicated than him being a selfish wanker.

He seemed to have a bit of a falling out with Pep and didn't play as much as he probably deserved to last season.

And perhaps was a bit too immature to deal with it properly and sometimes displayed a poor attitude when he did play.

Added with the clearly political reasons he didn't get selected in the WC for Germany, I understand him wanting to go back there to prove himself.

An absolutely brilliant player who it's been a joy to watch. Gutted it's ended this way, but wish him all the best (but fuck Bayern. Kuntz)
Entirely agree with this.
At least there is certainty as others have said. I do hope we win at CAS otherwise we may be looking at others going.
Would like to see Braaf given a chance now

I personally think making this news public strengthens our hand in the ongoing negotiations with Bayern.

Bayern have to sign him now and there is no way we should allow him to go for anything less than £50 million.

I wonder how Leroy would feel if they ask him to wait another year to get him on a free? He’d surely be looking at two years without any regular football. That will impact any player, let alone one coming off the back of such a big injury.

+ He'll miss the Euros next summer (Which would be his second major competition missed)
+ He'll lose all performance related pay
+ His 'brand' will be damaged, which may decrease sponsorships

Could cost him millions.

Let's not slag off the kid,we achieved a lot and he was a big part of it

He has chance to be a big name in his own county

Also don't underestimate the pressure he is getting from Lowe to get into the team for the euro's

Biggest mistake we have made in years losing him

How is it a mistake Karen if he doesn't want to be here ?

With Mahrez, Sterling, Bernie and Jesus all able to play on the wing I don't see why we can't keep him another year as backup and bring up this Braaf lad

All depends on the market for me.

If we need his sale to fund an adequate replacement then sell him ASAP. However, if we’re being quoted silly bugger prices for players who are not as good, and Bayern won’t pay our asking price then I’d keep him for another season.

I agree he shouldn't be with the first team anymore, he shouldn't be on the bench, and he shouldn't be training with them.
Disagree. Remember he's still a professional. He'll give 100% if he's on the pitch and if he approaches training and games with a positive attitude I see no reason to bench him. Fair enough we can give other young players more experience. But imagine if Sterling and Mahrez got injured and we were in the Champions League final - you're telling me you wouldn't play him? The guy is a top top player.

Hopefully this means that the deal might be nearing a conclusion in terms of Bayern stumping up an acceptable amount.

We've known for a season where he's going and it's the first time Pep's spoken about it so candidly.

Just get the cash and move on.

I would not play him for the rest of the season now
Basically if Munich don’t stump up the cash he spends a year waiting for them
In that year he could get another injury in which case he has no contract or games
We all know they will up the bid and get him
It’s a huge risk for all parties though

Agreed, although it wouldn’t surprise me if Sane didn’t play another game between now and the Euros, signed a pre-contract with Bayern and still made the squad. The bias between FAs and the ‘Bayern’s and United’s’ of this world is clear to see.

Considering they were willing to pay around £80 million last summer and now won’t pay £50 million, it doesn’t really send the right message to the lad.

The moment Sane signs a long-term deal he instantly becomes a £100+ million player, so Bayern scrimping and saving on this deal doesn’t make sense.

City have firmly shoved the ball in Bayern’s court.

it is a mistake because this goes back a whole season and pep not playing him, whatever the problem was it should have been sorted ages ago

The situation was totally mismanaged, most here would hate to admit it but its good to know that there are still some here who can take off the blue tinted specs to see the truth. Sane has to take some of the blame, there;s no denying that but we can't just give the management a clean slate here as they also had a part to play in this shit show. Totally mismanaged!

We've all known he wants out for the last year or so..Interesting timing for Pep to come out with it so directly and vividly,he could've easily dodged the matter..Cleary was very deliberate in wanting it out there..Club stance to throw the ball in BM's court?
All in all,imo its at least 70 M € or he stays till next year as a fringe player

always on the cards, he is a prick, said it 18 months ago. To much like Sturridge and actually not as good as he thinks. He was a great super sub but wasn't good enough to be a starter. Its a shame we wont see if he could have been a good 'un but take the 50 mill.

She is not right.
LeRoy lost form at the wrong time after being a regular. It happens and with Bernardo and Raheem on form he was going to get dropped.
He had chances to get his form back but for some reason it did not happen.
At the crucial point of the season he was our biggest disappointment.Pep had no other option not to start him.
Don't agree.

If we only look at it from the football perspective I just Don't see why he would go to Bayern... imagine if he can't replicate his form from the last 2 seasons.. The Bayern board, Bayern fans and German media will slaughter him.. after just 2 bad games! It's insane!
