Not your fault. At least the cat is on good hands.Dunno why I'm posting this really, but yesterday I ran a cat over. It ran out straight under back wheels.
I stopped and stroked its head til owner was found (by 3 good samaritans) but I dont think itt will make it.
Nothing I could do but feel horrendous
Yup, and the person in the next car can eat it.Isn’t the code that if a car or a dog run out in front of a car you carry on not swerve out the way? I know instincts usually make you do it.

Happens mate
I ran one over in Levenshulme a few years ago. I say ran it over. The thing ran out, missed my wheels but bounced off the underside of the car numerous times (I heard it) By the time I stopped, the cat was like a dancer from Run DMC and spinning on its back
It jumped up and ran off, probably to die somewhere after the adrenaline had worn off
