Is this the worst Mancunian accent ever ??

My clothes identify me immediately as not posh. Plus, I'm never far from a City shirt or badge.

I actually disagree with that. It’s a working class trait to dress up and I know wealthy people who dress down.

Never gave it any thought. City watch, shorts or shirt as and when possible, is the only dress codeI have ever followed. I always look at my shorts with a torn pocket and think about stiching them up. Three years of that. As for trousers, I have similar wears and tears but I've yet to think on that. What exactly is a tie?

That’s not quite what I mean. When I was a kid, everyone was in designer trainers and tops yet nobody had any money. It seemed more important to own Fred Perry (Fled Pelleh) than a big house.

I had some Jaguar trainers from Wyndsor's or a shop that sounds summat like that, and was bullied fo not having Nike or Adidas. So, I had a top sports car range on my feet, in jet black, that cost a tenner, and lasted 2 years... but couldn't have Air Max. Yeah, people have strange priorities. Gimme wear and tear over a name.
