Chelsea (a) post-match thread

Story of our season. Peps biggest job next season is sorting out that defence.

How many times this season has one ball over the top just caused panic for us that we can't deal with it with either a lack of pace or a defender fucking up

Frustrating game but we are supposed to be in top form in August, not in June. The title was gone already in December.

Tonight had everything, every one of our Prem defeats has had this season.

School boy defending the biggest problem.

A Strange formation that actually weakened us.

Rectified.

Then Subs ruin it again.

Why did we even risk KDB in this game,it was insane.FA Cup was more important.

We still have a chance of more Silver,we have to pick our battles.

Have to say I'm a bit dissatisfied with that tonight.
The players didnt seem to give a fuck, yes Liverpool cant be stopped irrespective of tonight but show a bit more fight ffs?
Mendy is abysmal, Sterling has his head up his arse and appears moody and why the fuck is Ferna still playing at centre half?

We are paying the price for yet another naive slapdash post title recruitment policy when arguably one of our top defenders in kompany went and we didnt bother to seek a replacement yet spent 60 million on Cancelo the clown.
Absolutely criminal with that squad to be losing 8 games, could be about 12 or 13 by the end of the season.
Gutted isn't the word.

Time for the club to really prepare for the future. Dinho is 35, Aguero is getting on. LB position has been an issue for a while. RCB.

There’s a lot I want to say but the BM folk will echo some of my thoughts. Same songs we’ve sang all season.

Not a great performance by the lads. Walker and KDB were the only ones who did alright. Loved the effort and skipping past players from Jesus. Just needs the killer instinct. The match highlights the story of the season. Seems it was written in the script from the start that City would give the dippers a guard of honour.

One silver lining the gap between Chelsea and the rags is a nice 5 pts.

Nothing to say really. The red card killed us, we looked alright but we got one eye on the fa cup and the champions league.

Thank fuck it's over.

Fa cup maybe but we can't give as many chances away as we do against European opposition. Hopefully wrong but the defence is awful.

After our first 2 games back I’ve got to say that was a major disappointment.
We can point at individual errors but overall that was pretty shite all round.

Covid or no Covid the game to exemplify our worst season - looking at league in isolation - since winning the first title. Some serious losers mentality set in into this team and how Pep is going to sort it out nobody knows. There are crackers and shouts of celebrations from balconies and gardens in my little corner of East London. West Ham is definitely not the top team of E3.

Watched it on an American stream and I think they mentioned Liverpool more times than us and Chelsea combined. They even had a Liverpool fan cam ffs.

Shit performance all round but ultimately no harm done as it was a completely insignificant match for us. we’ve lost 8 games now, the same as Arsenal who have had a disaster of a season and two of their losses was against us! and two more than Wolves of all teams. Need a slight rethink in our approach but it’s nothing we can’t rectify in the summer.

look on the bright side, it puts united further away from the top 4 and the dippers don’t get the party they really wanted.

That story was like most of the other 8 games we’ve lost this season. Suicidal defending and the rodri/gundogan midfield just doesn’t work. Don’t know how many of the 8 losses they’ve started together but I bet it’s a few.

Sums up our season really. Would've won that if Sterling squared it.

On the bright side, Liverpool didn't win it at our place and it's a bit anticlimactic for them to win it when they're sitting at home. Also makes it harder for united to get in the top four.
