Not sure this is good news.
Uefa don’t want City in the draw for the QF and SF on the same day they announce they are banned from the competition. It will make a mockery of this year’s tournament.
Hopefully at this point no one knows anything still and the verdict is still being decided.

if what the DM is saying is true then I think both parties know the outcome now.

Not sure about that, if we’re in the draw but banned for next season UEFA can boast about FFP having real teeth. They can say look we’ve punished one of the top teams in Europe so no one is above the law.

City could well be in real difficulties if they allowed the appeal to revolve around what Pearce did NOT mean in those emails and our legal team is far too capable and experienced to have allowed it to happen. Sorriano set out right from the beginning that our appeal was based entirely on our being innocent of any claims that we had breached FFP in any way and that UEFA's assertions that we (presumably) inflated sponsorship deals are "not true, simply not true". Khaldoon claimed that we had presented a folder of evidence to the two chambers, which he claimed was "irrefutable". We can argue about his terminology but his meaning is clear. His view is that it is City's evidence - not any argument about who said what and meant what in which email - that would decide the case. My belief is that this evidence is the club's accounts, duly audited and supported by a statement from the auditors, backed up also by a statement from Etihad, and with receipts etc to show that they ars an accurate record. City are not trying to prove a negative, not trying to prove that we didn't breach FFP but are putting the onus on UEFA to show any evidence of real weight (and the emails are not) that we did. I cannot see how UEFA can.
Spot on.

Whatever the result from CAS UEFA do not want it happening at the same time as the draw. It would mean them being bombarded by the media when they are trying to promote their flagship tournament. If City win or lose it would still overshadow the draw. I think it is just a pragmatic request from UEFA and it probably suits City as well. We will need to get our PR eggs in a row and focus just on the CAS decision without any distractions.
For example I suspect City will probably go public with some sort of press conference to confirm our "irrefutable evidence" if we win. And if we lose we may go on the attack against our enemies. The CAS decision is much bigger news than the CL draw.

The verdict was expected on July 10th, but UEFA have asked for it to be pushed back to avoid clashing with the draw for the #UCL quarter-finals, semi-finals and final which takes place on that date. [
@MailSport

ManCity are set to learn their European fate on July 13th

13th that is not unlucky then !

Wouldn't think you'd need a draw for the final. That'll sort itself out.

My take on it would be that both parties now have an idea on the verdict, if it is negative for us could you see us agreeing to any request from uefa ?

I suspect they’ve asked for the public announcement to be delayed, the private decision is most likely going to be known this week.

Bizarre that Uefa have asked for it to be delayed so it doesn’t affect the draw.
the question you have to ask is, which verdict would disrupt it? I think we all the know the answer to that.
