Summer Transfers

City in talks with Holgate at Everton

That’s surprising, we may need a right back but he’s played mostly as a centre back this season. We’ve got Garcia, Stones and Otamendi as right sided centre backs plus that’s where Koulibaly plays.

Doubt it would matter, he’s played on the left at Everton, plus Koulibaly could easily shuffle across if Laporte wasn’t available, is he a better option than Ake I couldn’t say, not seen enough , but have seen him mentioned as a d.m too so maybe Rodri cover too.

Is he...never really paid much attention to him tbh
Bang average at best. CB is the position that needs improvement the most, Holgate would be an expensive sideways step. Terrible idea to sign some homegrown CB, when there are no good ones out there.

Gnabry actually counts as HG, that could be an interesting one

No thanks, we should steer well away from the London clubs rejects

That's actually not where Koulibaly plays. Although he's right footed he almost always plays at LCB. I'm sure he would be fine on the right though.

In
Koulibaly - Must or someone as good as
A winger - to replace Sane
Ake- to replace Otamendi if we could
A keeper - to replace Bravo, would love a HG 2nd choice like Angus Gunn

Out
Sane
Otamendi - please
Stones - only if we get a silly offer for him otherwise I’d keep another year
Bravo

Other than that I wouldn’t be too bothered if we didn’t have anymore movement. A revamp is always nice and more exciting but sometimes circumstances will mean it will be a tweak this year rather than mass overhaul.

I’d also prefer if we buy/promote HG/English players if we can, but not at any detriment to the team.

Id add to the out list
Mendy - in - someone who can defend!
Gundogan - Aouar in to replace him

But I think thats a step too far financially in one go

If we were looking for a striker then Luka Jovic might be worth another look? Really not worked out for him at Madrid

Holgate is average. Stones is a much better player.

buying English players for the sake of it makes no sense. If we do there are plenty of English players who are quality and could do a good job.

Ake is an improvement if we bag him, and HG. And versatile.

If you watched him the past two seasons you’d have seen how insanely brilliant he is.
Gnabry has 40 goal contributions this season for club and country. He has become a quality player after he left Arsenal

Haha I was trying a little reverse-Clarkie. Kevin De Bruyne wasn't bad for a London club reject was he? ;)

And I agree on Gnabry, but Bayern are never gonna sell him, and certainly not to us the twats

Intersting that in the article in the MUEN aobut Sancho not retuning (pep sounded very adamant on that one) he also mentioned replacing Kompany and SILVA - now for at least a year Pep hsa said that Foden would be his replacement, so this is either a slip of the tongue by Pep, something lost in translation or maybe he is thinking we do need something else as well as Foden. He has also recently mentioned Sane unique qualities - maybe it was Pep just paying him compliments but maybe he is thinking we do need something else ( a differnt style of player)

or maybe its just wishful thinking on my part.
