I guess the thinking is Rodri has the height, physical presence and not afraid to stick a foot in against that big lump in their midfield and Gundo always seems to play well against a Klopp team - perhaps from his Dortmund days. One of these will be MOM tonight just to prove a few fans wrong Ha! Miss prime Bernardo though but he will be on in the second half.
I am not exactly seeing a huge amount of pace in Liverpool’s central mid? I think the pace of our wide players, defensive and forward, will be key

I don’t mind that team. However IMO it says bye bye to Stones and Otamendi. Big game and Pep is starting an 18 year oldGarcia over them. They’re gone them 2 - can’t say I’m too arsed either tbh

I'm happy enough with the team. Big test for Foden & Garcia, looking forward to see how they handle it.

Nobody has moaned about Foden or Garcia playing, quite the opposite in fact. people are expressing concern (or moaning) at Rodri and Gundogan playing together again when they’ve proven all season it doesn’t work and we are far too slow when they play. Maybe a few want to see us try something else with the future in mind as those two are not the future that’s going to bring us back the title.
Rodri is the future. Gundogan will be here next season and will have a more prominent role with Silva riding off into the sunset. We might not all agree with that, but it's the reality

Cue calls from the media for the league to cancel tonight’s match due to the “immense psychological distress imposed on the Liverpool players by the actions of City supporters”, award Liverpool three points, and fine Manchester City 30 million pounds.

Ffs man at least chuck a stink bomb through the window
