CAS judgement: UEFA ban overturned, City exonerated (report out p603)

Let's be clear. Like Tebas, these are words of a declaration of "war" (no not literally obviously before someone makes some silly comment). The club will not do anything but the inference here is as clear as Tebas and it is unacceptable. Simple as that.
Added to the comments in The Times article about how all the G14 clubs were busy messaging each other about their next attack on us, certainly sounds like war.

A bad day for Liverpool, Man Utd, Arsenal, Spurs, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Juventus and UEFA. Apart from that I think most people were pleased or indifferent.

Don't mind Klopp usually, but hate when he does that whole "Of course, I'm just a humble football manager, I couldn't possibly comment, although I do think this is a terrible thing that is categorically wrong for these seven reasons. But I can't comment, of course, I'm just a humble football coach."

The 'leaks' on Friday didn't match the wording/comments so they may well have originated from someone, somewhere having a punt based on gut feeling coming from the positive comments of those who were there and involved in the CAS process. It'll be interesting to see. Inevitably, if someone did leak information on Friday then the MCFC of today is a somewhat different beast to the MCFC of the past and leaks are unacceptable (unless of course a leak had been authorised in some way). We'll know eventually I'm sure.

On the 'time-barred' material.... What is angering me with the media most at the moment is that many journalists/reporters are claiming that City got off on a technicality. When we see the full CAS report we should know but at the moment I reckon that they've got the angle completely wrong. If CAS couldn't consider some accusations by UEFA because of the time-barred rule then that means that MCFC couldn't present its own case in relation to those accusations or defend those accusations. Worse, it was because of a UEFA rule not MCFC's, so if anything the media should be saying City were prevented from defending/challenging UEFA's views in these areas because UEFA had a time-bar on them! I may be totally misreading this area, but it seems logical that if something couldn't be heard because it had been time-barred then that's not the accused fault, nor is it a sign of their guilt. Anyone know anything about this area?
Certainly not the mainstream media I should say.

These press conferences just proving the debacle this whole thing is. The uninformed passing judgement on things they know nothing about. Pep is right about the presumption of innocence not applying to us.Showing up where the pressure was coming from to UEFA to investigate us !

Enough of this shit. The club can’t continue to just put the manager out there to take on the slavering attack dogs. This isn’t his job. Enough.

It’s time to take these fuckers down.

We’ll always be a target.

We have to don the armour of ‘being above reproach‘ just to avoid the arrows finding vital organs.
Martin Samuel called it an existential threat which I understand to mean a concrete threat to existence. I remember on here a thread 'is their an agenda' against City. Some people really believed there wasn't.

Our rivals want to destroy us. Not beat us, not compete with us, destroy us. That the governing bodies are complicit or at least supportive, as are most of the media, means it is not enough 'to be above approach'. Over the next five years we will need to be better in every aspect than they are. We cannot let these bastards grind us down.

Seasons City have been banned from Europe for cooking the books - 0
Times City have been banned from Europe because Liverpool fans brutally murdered 39 innocent people - 1
This has been my default to dippers winding me up before yesterdays result with "what will you do when banned" and "who will stay/go" etc etc. I always answered with, oh well,it wont be the first time weve been banned from europe........for something we didnt do. It sometimes takes a minute to sink in,but usually shuts the fckers up.

I totally get that at the end of this verdict, the club will stop there, and not pursue further aggressively, i can buy into that.

I really would however like to see a continuity of their previous tone and statements.
Something along the lines of, the club welcomes the decision and maintains, as it has all along, that the attenpt to damage the reputation is clear and organised. Future attempts to continue these efforts will be investigated and pursued.

Even something like that just to make one or two take notice

Another with limited understanding ability.

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho is now speaking to the media and has also been asked about Manchester City's European ban being overturned.

"It's a disgraceful decision because if City are not guilty of it then you are not punished with 10 million (euros)," he said.

"If you're not guilty you shouldn't have a fine. If they are guilty the decision is also a disgrace and you should be banned from the competition.

"I don't know if Manchester City are guilty or not but either way it's a disgraceful decision."

It's not an opinion - it's an inference - he knows full well what the intention was.

Sky are actually doing City a favour here by running that as their breaking news.

City have been presented with an open goal for a public apology.

It's similar to Rob Harris defending his question after the cup final by saying he wasn't accusing Pep of taking bungs - he merely asked the question and it was Pep's opportunity to deny it. These people are c*nts but we shouldn't be so naive as to not realise they understand the implication and impact of every loaded word that comes out of their mouth.

They know exactly what they're doing and City need to get a handle on it, quick.

Nice to see Mourinho joining Klopp :)

It seems he forgot how he built the Roman Empire at Chelsea :)
Over paying transfer fees + wages for many of his targets

Remember the governing bodies are packed by our rivals, to have got this far is an achievement in its self

Calling @franksinatra to the thread ;)
