COVID-19 — Coronavirus

I don’t know mate, I just know of several people with family dying of cancer, strokes etc. and Covid-19 going down on the death certificate. One even fought to get it removed as it was obviously something else.

There’s loads of stories knocking about stating the same.

I don’t know if it’s government, not sure why they would though as it makes them look worse.
It is public health protocol, they have to record everyone with covid ,that is how They know the spread across the world

But one of my closest mates’ grandmother unfortunately died following a stroke, she wasn’t tested and they tried putting Covid on the death certificate. Her family had to actually fight to get it off as she hadn’t been tested and it was obviously the stroke.

There’s the whole “suspected of Covid-19” line with some authorities.

26k a year ( June 17-18 )

it will all add to a margin of error,

but it’s still the clearer guide we have of a really level of deaths.
Again, it’s not.

Life has changed for everyone, many of the increased deaths could be a result of the change, rather than the virus itself.

How many have missed cancer screenings and other hospital appointments that could have been life saving?

Who knows.

I was watching a programme earlier on paramedics during covid, the figures they have were 4% of people agreed to go into hospital,a lot of the rest were scared of catching covid and they estimated about 8,000 people have died as a result of not going in from a range of conditiond, fits with the low A&E figures and what medics of each specialist are saying

The term is “guide”, it not exact. It’s a guide with a margin of error.

I know 2 people going through chemo with no reduction in sessions. A couple of people I know further on In there treatment did appointments over the phone.

some will have been missed no doubt. But again. It’s just a guide.

It takes about 8-10 days before you end up in hospital and average 3 weeks to death,i fear a spike is coming

Surprise surprise, say it enough times and you will be right eventually. It's barely gone up at all, unless you count 1 or 2 deaths as a spike there are currently no signs of it at all

Has there been any more positive news re vaccine’s? I have been talking to a lot of my clients recently (Age 65 plus) and they are very reluctant to get back to any level of normal. I read the other day that a cafe somewhere took £1.20 the other day. Very worrying for jobs

As this is a busier thread than the positive news one I'll put this in here.

There is really positive news about the Oxford vaccine and it appears to give 'double protection' with both antibodies and T cells. An update will be published on Monday but a vaccine by October is a good possibility.

Cheers for posting that, really good news. Seems like a vaccine really is around the corner.

A tool of the elite is to keep the masses in fear , kills opposition & if you can keep half suspicious of the other half , even better .

Yeah there will be loads going through it who luckily managed to continue but I’d bet there’s loads who have sadly missed out.

Add to the elderly people’s health deteriorating as a result of being stuck in flats for 4 months.

I just don’t think the guide is accurate but we won’t be able to prove each other wrong, as the accurate data isn’t there.

hopefully samples were taken from all deaths since early March that can be used for decent proper analysis.

can’t see it tho.

No I can’t either, I think a lot will have died without people ever getting the real reason why.

Which is sad in this day and age.

Why do you think we will be different to the states? 49 states are either spiking or full 2nd wave.

Is it just we will handle it better?

Think there is an update on the Oxford University vaccine tomorrow worth keeping an eye out for. They are being very positive about the data, fingers crossed on this one.
