There's no point selling Mendy. His market value is 0 and it just means buying 2 left backs in one window when we've got other big issues.

He's been improving consistently in defence since coming back, he's more than acceptable as a back up and there's a decent chance his spark of brilliance returns to his crossing after a few months back fit and regular game time.

Very true. I'd probably be sat in a traffic jam cos the M6 was down to 1 lane for roadworks somewhere near Coventry right now

I remember the last time we got beat in the semi by Arsenal. Horrible journey home.
 
I have been thinking it for a while now. Replacing kompany,yaya,sergio,zaba,fern is an unbelievable task for the club. How do we do this while under ffp scrutiny is going to be interesting to watch. We have bought decent players recently but nothing like the above legends. Unless the next buys are of the same standard as those previously we will have to be patient. Tough job for pep.We may have to accept Top 4 these next few years. Everyone knows that some players are not good enough. Pep can see this also. He has made a lot of the players better but it looks like they have reached the peak and are on the way down. He can only do so much. Time to move them on.

New transfer will only help if they are quality and will boost us.

We can spend 120m and get two more Cancelo's who has not been an improvement for us.

We need more of the KDB, Laporte quality signings than Cancelo, Rodri, Mendy, Stones who were not much cheaper than the other two lets be honest.

Chances are if we get in 4 players this summer, 1-2 will be like Cancelo or Mendy. Hpe we get at least two tho of the same ilk as Laporte for example.

Drives me nuts how quickly we switch from the killer instinct of Mike Tyson to the killer instinct of Frank fucking Bruno.

100% need a striker this summer. And if There's a defensive coach, sack him ffs because our defence has been abject this year.

I’d replace Jesus, Mahrez and Rodri as well given half the chance.
Problem is I don’t think there are that many great players available. Players are fitter nowadays but I think the overall standard of most players has dropped. The prem this year has been dire. I genuinely can’t think of a CF under 30 who is world class bar Mbappe. How many top CBs are there? Liverpool and Utd aren’t great sides but they have so much pace they’re always a threat. We are one paced these days.

My big question is if Pep is cut-throat enough to not just chuck away the obvious ones like Otamendi, but if he will realise Gundogan and Mahrez are never going to be good enough at the highest level for this team to replicate or surpass the success he had at Barca.

I think the reason I worry one window is not enough is that it encourages us to be too conservative in our targets. I worry that Ferran Torres is an example of that but could be doing him a disservice. Are we going for Ferran due to his contract situation and to save money for elsewhere due to the huge overhaul needed, or is he truly the right man? If it results in us not getting Havertz for example, would we not be better off playing a slightly longer game and splitting it over two summers and getting the big hitters? Maybe Torres is amazing and I’m being unfair on him, but when I see us looking at players with contract situations going on, I wonder if it’s because we’re trying to do too much in one go and are spreading this year’s budget too thin. Again, maybe Torres is incredible and it’s just too good a deal to turn down. You’ll have to let me know on that as I’m really not sure. I just know that I want Havertz!

Martinez off Inter looks incredibly good, Supposedly Barcelona is breaking his release clause.
Surely this is what our scouts get paid for to find unknown talent. Big summer ahead for us, Really big summer.
