Only Leicester are top half of the table. Poor.

I think that is accurate as far as I know

Yeah i agree it does point to an issue with him. His record in champs league is better but rarely there do we meet packed defences and teams want to come out and play so all our players fair better including GJ

Fuck all service yet again yesterday from what I remember.

you are right he got fuck all service - but like has been sid before - the best create ther own which is somethign Jesus rarely does.

He also got a great chance witht he pass back and chose to lay it off for KDB instead of shoot himself - that is worrying

"Rarely does" is a bit of a stretch, every striker needs service. Jesus is in the team to link up play and look for the best opportunity to score even if its not himself, KDB is probably one of the best in the world to shoot from distance so it was hardly him passing back to Gundogan to have a go.

This season Jesus has now started 19 PL games, scoring 12 times and assisting 4. Sergio Aguero meanwhile started 18 PL games, scored 14 times and assisted 3 (with zero goals or assists against any of the current top six over six games). So either Sergio has actually just been awful and we need to get rid ASAP also, or it turns out Jesus is just fine and is in fact "good enough". Hard to say.

Yeah they need service but when they have the ball within 20 yards of the goal, a good striker knows in a game against a team who parks the bus, you need to take speculative shots.

Create some terror in the box. Get the defenders moving around blocking shots. Get the keeper parrying the ball back Into the danger area.

When you receive the ball with the back to goal, if you’re an elite striker you know how to turn and shoot at goal without seeing the goal.

Gabby has the talent side of the game. He doesn’t have the self belief.

yes i agree that every striker needs service and in yesterdays game he got none (other than being provided a very good opportunity by a horrendous back pass which he chose to lay off to KDB instead of turning on and going at goal-which in itself suggests a problem)

A striker needs to have that killer instinct and he doesnt look to have it. He may well be in the team to link up play but he is there to take chances and score goals as well and he does need to improve in this area

Is he a better all round player technically than Kun right now? Yes he is imo and at 23, he is the future.

I've heard it all now. Jesus can't hold a candle to Aguero technically. The way Sergio can hold off a defender on halfway, turn and link with others is/was absolutely second to none.

Look at his performance at home to Liverpool last season. Biggest game of the season, a must win in literally every sense of the phrase. He terrorised their back four all night and absolutely buried the chance he got, which was made possible through his intelligent movement, exquisite first touch and lethal finishing.

Jesus isn't capable of such a level and never will be. The raw materials aren't there.
