CAS judgement: UEFA ban overturned, City exonerated (report out p603)

Any further info on the release of news against certain clubs?
Arsenal were told off for shit stirring, Liverpool were ticked off for over celebrating, Spurs were told to go stand in the corner for a week and stop moaning about the price of the stadium, Real were told to keep the car park salesman quite, Bayern were told to fix the leaks while Man United were told to sign Hardy to work alongside Oliver. Apart from that nothing really, no docs.

If for whatever reason certain material is taken out by CAS despite say City protests can we legally ask for an explanation?
My point being that it will remove context that may help others to skew reporting.

Evidence of this is the biased reporting in most media since their initial verdict which in fairness was clear but still reported as guilt and technicalities.

probably no recourse. But don’t worry about it. When it’s released the picture will be clear

Note to CAS: Teabag was right, you are useless. Sharpen those quills, smooth out the parchment and write. After me:
Item 1. Uefa are a bunch of tosspots......

They said this award would be released "in a few days" and now we're nearly two weeks after the decision suggests it may never see the light of day. Clearly someone has objected to the publication of it or wish for parts it to be redacted.

Is it just me that doesn't care if this never come out?

Let's say the full document is 99% in our favour (I can't see it being more than 80%)

Let's also say that in that 99% all sorts of negative information is released about UEFA.

One of two things will happen (because we have already seen the first of these)

1. The 1% will he the headlines and it will be open season on us AGAIN. Football is tribal and the truth will just be dismissed.

2. The clubs vying for even more power WITHIN UEFA (not lobbying) will say UEFA are not fit for purpose and they will gain greater control of the governing body.

The other point to make is that, as Soriano says, UEFA is split between the neutral old guard and the self interested new guard that joined from the ECA under the threat of a breakaway league. It looks to me that City would like to work with the old guard and get rid of the threat within UEFA.

I can't see any positives from the full release. I'd be happy to take the win and move on. I suspect City think the same.

That can only happen if both parties agree, so maybe we’ve agreed with UEFA that it’ll be not published? Mind you, both parties have 30 days in which to appeal the CAS verdict, so they might wait for that. Presumably UEFA would launch an appeal after 40 days, if that were the case.....

Simon Mullock said in the Sunday Mirror that City have no objections to full the report being published. Must have been briefed to that effect. Can only surmise there is something in there (or several somethings) that UEFA doesn’t want people to know

Thanks.Stefan.

Whilst it is a Court of Arbitration I find it surprising that they allow any request for redaction of the detail of their findings.
In other words criticism of their reasoning to arrive at their conclusion.
As you possibly infer, City have the original version so. will likely ensure any revision sent for approval does not significantly affect our position.
Thanks again for your view.

CAS decisions must not be published or reproduced by third parties, except with the express agreement of the CAS or all the parties directly concerned by the decision in question.

The award, a summary and/or a press release setting forth the results of the proceedings shall be made public by CAS, unless both parties agree that they should remain confidential. In any event, the other elements of the case record shall remain confidential.

recon it will say this.
MANCHESTER CITY FC DID NOT DISGUISE EQUITY FUNDING AS SPONSORSHIP CONTRIBUTIONS BUT DID FAIL TO COOPERATE WITH THE UEFA AUTHORITIES.

The Panel may decide to communicate the operative part of the award to the parties, prior to delivery of the reasons. The award shall be enforceable from such notification of the operative part by courier, facsimile and/or electronic mail.

The award notified by the CAS Court Office shall be final and binding upon the parties subject to recourse available in certain circumstances pursuant to Swiss law within 30 days from the notification of the award by mail or courier.

Perhaps they are waiting 30 days?

That's an interesting angle. When you look at the comments made by Liverpool FC, and particularly Bayern and Dortmund, they are not just attacking City are they? All those clubs (and pundits) who have queried the verdict are essentially accusing the CAS judges of being bent. A lot of those clubs are prominent members of the European Clubs Association so their comments will not have done anything to improve UEFA's repuation with CAS.

Yeah, the more comments these clowns make against CAS the better for me. You expect that kind of shit from clueless opposition fans but I’d have thought even the likes of that racist prick Tebas would stop short of effectively calling CAS bent.
