Rodrygo ran by him, it happens, I dont even blame him for the goal.

Benzema beat Rodri and Dinho to score it.

That's true, we lacked that crossing from the left.

Dunno what Pep will do, maybe play Foden LW to have that option still.

I love Mendy, but Cancelo doesn't deserve to be dropped.

Needs to work on that first instinct when he loses the ball up the field. Often too slow to turn and get back in.
Much improved in recent times though.

He's playing well but it would be a mistake to go into another season with our preferred LB being a player being played out of position.

Nobody should get any stupid ideas about his position. He is an RB. And he will compete with Walker for that spot. The end.

To me mendy hasn't warrented a reason to replace cancelo next round, kid haS played 3? Games at LB now and been better then mendy

Been exceptional since the restart in two positions. really making his mark on the side now but it would be a huge mistake to think we don’t need to bring in somebody now because of his recent performances.

walker and cancelo for the right and mendy and a zinchenko replacement for the left with the added benefit of cancelo being adaptable if mendy has further fitness concerns next season.

I thouight he had a great game in general. Got tight so he couldn't get done for pace and made a real effort to get forwards. Final ball slightly wayward but always likely to suffer there when he is naturally a right back. The only criticism is that he didn't get tight enough to prevent crosses coming in but it didn't cost us.

Looks like a different player now. Plays with determination, acceleration is fantastic, can dribble at speed. The best is yet to come. He will start the remaining game(s), Mendy hasn't played several weeks and would be rusty anyway.
