I don’t get how that is a pen either.. Messi simply didn’t have the ball anywhere near under control. He literally just stuck his leg in front of KK as he was winding up to clear it.
I don't know what the rule says, I just know that if a winger does the same to a fullback, he gets booked.

Granted he isn’t having his best game but he is clearly really good on the ball. He appears to be their deep lying playmaker the whole team looks to pass to him to start a move.
