Pep has said a million times, you don't make Messi press, because when you score 40 goals and get 30 assists a season you're allowed to save your energy.

He said that when Messi was 25, I doubt he'd expect him to be running around like a lunatic at 33.

The problem tonight was not that the best player in the world didn't run enough, it's the fact Barcelona have no midfield, and a defence that should have been put out to pasture years ago.

Barça has not been good but they also has been made looking so bad because Bayern has been good.

From the start we knew they were the biggest contender with City coming second.

Will be a very interesting game in the semi finals.
 
Bayern are terrifying. However... if we played against that Barca side tonight, we would've won about 8-2 too.

This is a simple way to put it but if we control the midfield, we will beat Bayern IF we don't overlook Lyon and do the job there.
 
I’ll give you 3 positives..

1) That was more a reflection of Barca’s utter ineptitude rather than Munich’s quality

2) They’ve used up all their goals

3) They’ll now be overconfident

But let’s beat Lyon first then worry about them

Be nice for him to do anything at all. Wonderful wonderful player but he's done at the top level
 
Everybody over 30 got to go. It's so simple. Everybody got to go.

Alba

Let them all go... Build your team around Puig, Fati, De Jong, and Perhaps Garcia. This is a 3 year rebuild. No one over 30 is necessary.

They are "skint" because they pay astronomical wages for players who won't be on their wage bill if they rebuild.

Messi alone gets 100 M with all his bonuses and clauses. They will definitely have money but they need to let those players go first.
