Champions League Quarter Final Games 12-15th August

You can rest easy knowing that no matter how many of you on here think your fight is hopeless, your team won't read any of it and will step on the pitch to fight it all the way. And no matter how many of you think you shouldn't be very concerned after all, your team won't read any of it and will never underestimate the match they're gonna face.

They are "skint" because they pay astronomical wages for players who won't be on their wage bill if they rebuild.

Messi alone gets 100 M with all his bonuses and clauses. They will definitely have money but they need to let those players go first.
Messi brings in a massive amount in sponsorship money and other things. I think he basically pays for himself, maybe not all, but still a huge amount of his wage.

I’ll give you 3 positives..

1) That was more a reflection of Barca’s utter ineptitude rather than Munich’s quality

2) They’ve used up all their goals

3) They’ll now be overconfident

But let’s beat Lyon first then worry about them
Haha, I like that...used up all their goals!

I agree, I can’t explain it. They are playing like City in the Centurions season and look unstoppable. How long has Hansi Flick been in charge?

To be honest, momentum and goals do that. Put a wind in your sails, and you feel unstoppable and play freely. Also, some of their players are athletic beasts.

True, but also Messi was terrible tonight as well.

Of course he was. They had no possession, he was surround by 4+ players the moment he got the ball with no one around him, there were no runners on the wings to pass to.

It's like when people criticise our striker when we just bombard crosses into the box and nothing happens...what did you expect? It's a 5'9'' guy surrounded by 5 defenders and a keeper with no support.

Do you reckon BT have advertised their “summer of football” enough?

4th minute in “and don’t forget you can watch the Europa league semi final... etc”

6th minute in “and let me just reminded you can watch all the champions league games... etc”

Still the 6th minute in “and incase you didn’t know you can catch the final champions league quarter final tomorrow exclusive on by sport”

Fuck off!

They will be financial stretched regardless if they get Messi and a few other high wage players off their books.

They are in a very precarious financial position, hence why they are seeking such a substantial cash injection via private loan. The public reasoning for it is not accurate/complete.

How do they get them off their books, or are the contracts up. They could all do a Bale.
You can see why they are shit scared of City’s/PSG financial clout
They have to do a Juventus and find some kind of agreement to release them like Matuidi.

Coutinho can find suitors in PL if they lower the asking price.

Yes, they are scared of City/PSG clout. This is why they pushed for FFP : they have the biggest commercial revenue.

Hmmm something doesn’t seem right with this Munich team, yes a team of good players some very good but in context an unknown coach suddenly within a few months has them playing football like that, endless running I’d even go as far as saying they could play another ninety mins against a fully fresh team and play at full tilt, reminds me of Leicester city title win ..

It's amazing how in some peoples minds when any other side presses and defends and works their bollocks off it's definitely doping, but when it's us...nothing.

All I know is he was number two for a while with the national team failed with hoffenheim after three years stuck in the third tier about 10 years or so ago,and this November gets the Munich job although was already in the background there ..

that sounds like a Churchill speech after he’s injected the best brown since the railroads were built

Messi going off the books would actually completely save them financially, he costs them minimum €100m/year without bonuses, and he always gets bonuses.
