Seen people say PSG, didn't Neymar leave PSG to get away from Messi? Not sure how he'd feel about being reunited with him. Given that he's younger, not sure PSG would antagonize their prize pony like that.

Wages and fee would ridiculous, we couldn't afford that. FFR still exists, contrary what some hacks would have us a believe.

No way he is coming here after the game with Lyon. He is looking for titles, not teams that struggle to get past quarters.
Not keen given his age and form against the top sides. However, I think at this stage he might just want to get out of Barca and if he does leave then City is a likely destination. There's one question mark and that is Pep. Surely Pep is the reason why he'd consider City but if Pep is leaving in 12 months where does that leave a Messi transfer?

Sounds to me like this is a mere possibility at this stage with a lot of water to flow under the bridge for it to happen.

I just watched some of messi highlights this season, it looks like if he is in the opponents penalty box its a goal no matter what hes so clinical its amazing

So you think his chance conversion rate might just be a bit higher than Raz and Gabby then? ;-)

All his goals this season i think for ronaldo and him age is just a number.

By signing Messi we would arguably be funding Barça's squad revolution at a time where we desperately need 4-5 key signings. No thanks. Get Upamecano (80M), Alaba (50M), Thiago/Aouar (30M-50M) and Sancho (100M). And start a charm operation so we can get Mbappé for free in 2022 when his contract expires.

So many things are wrong with this....
Upamecano has a release clause of around £35mil, Alaba doesn't want to move to England, we are not interested in Sancho, Mbappe will not be leaving on a free in 2022 and Messi would cost roughly £100mil I would assume and seen as though Barca have spent over £1billion since Bartomeu was elected 6 years ago it's barely going to touch the sides to rebuild Barca

Barca has been his home, if he decides to leave why will he not pick BM or PSG . In both cases league titles are almost assured and with him they will be favorites for Euros.
Because Bayern would have no interest in him and PSG wouldn't go after him at the risk of pissing off Neymar

As much as Messi fan boys here wants him to come to City, y'all know, Messi will never leave Barca. It's all a ploy to get rid of Bartomeu. Messi vs Bartomeu: game on. Heard a rumor, Bartomeu resigning tomorrow

thats what I think but hope I am wrong.

I thought Upamecano didn't have a release clause (I heard he had one starting next summer of around 65M.
You don't think Alaba would want to come with the right contract? He'd be starting every game, no doubt, whereas at Munich he's been seeing Davies becoming more and more influential as a left back. I'm not sure Alaba wants to keep playing as a CB.
I know Pep doesn't want Sancho. I only said Sancho because I don't see Bayern allowing us to sign both Alaba and Coman/Gnabry. I do love Sancho though, it's a shame him and Pep have such a bad relationship.
I believe Mbappé will leave in 2022. I think we could sign him. Otherwise he'll probably go to Madrid.
And yeah, Messi would "only" cost 100M, but 3 years contract would cost us the same amount in wages...
