The biggest impact is on the ability to play out from the back. The majority of players will revert to their strongest foot when playing, especially under pressure and playing with any unbalanced duo will cause problems with the way we play. Otamendi isn't a bad player at all in possession but if you look back at the goal against Norwich away, Stones plays a pass which forces Otamendi to take a touch to bring the ball back onto his stronger side, that alone causes that goal. I agree totally with that theory, but for one, many 'top' footballers can't, it seems & two, it very much appears Pep insists on that balance.
