Kalidou Koulibaly

That's why i included the word balance.
I actually included a comparison to david in this thread a few days ago, 1 footed and perfect balance. Whereas Walker is one footed, without perfect balance.)
Isn't that why Cancelo was brought in? The general idea that every player in the side is more or less two footed?

Correct,
Another season of Stones & Otamendi is a disaster
If we don’t bring in a central defender we will not win the title it’s as simple as that . Don’t think people realise how bad that defence was last season. Can’t see us getting joy from Napoli tbh but I do think we will get some joy with benfica or Sevilla

Even if we do bring in a central defender we might not win the league.

I refer to balance, as the ability to play on both sides. Walker would struggle to play on the left wouldn't he?
A poster said we couldn't have three Cbs all preferring left side, yet the Liverpool Cbs, (best ever in the world) all right sided. If as a centre back you are not adaptable enough to play on either the left or right of a partnership of two, you shouldn't be at City.
If Koulibaly for example is worth 60, 70 , 80 million, he should be equally comfortable on either side .
If a player is balanced , you rarely notice he is one footed.
Colin Bell for example, couldn't kick it with his left foot, most city fans wouldn't know it though.

Can’t believe that this is still on going. This player is bang average. Probably no better than Stones. Stones was excellent along side Laporte when he first came in. Lost his way after injury and Laporte being missing. KK is not the answer.

I hope you are joking

Mate, on no planet is John Stones even comparable to Koulibaly. Stones has ever produced a single good season here.

Koulibaly would also be a nice change of approach to get an experienced player in considering we've mostly recruited younger players.

Aside a few purple patches, his time as City has largely been average /injury filled, and his highlight has been that meme clearance off his own error vs Liverpool. Says a lot.

La Liga with their complicated release clauses can give the Italians a run for their money with an added bonus of Tebas looming in the background.

There's Italian clubs and then there's De Laurentiis who is on another level entirely. This will end up costing north of £70 million pounds plus add ons (Van Dyck money). He will extract every last penny he can from us.

I highly doubt Cancelo was brought in for resale value. I think some of our fans don't really realise he's quality just because Pep hasn't played him much. He will help us a lot in coming seasons
