Exactly. I mean, Messi isn't short of a few bob. There would actually be nothing to prevent us paying his £300k a week wages (in line with Kev and Raheem) and choosing to directly wire him £100m when he has stopped playing.

Loads of CFG possibilities.

A variation on the Real Madrid land sale scheme would do it. A representitive of Messi buys a plot of land in Abu Dhabi (or even Dubai) & it increases hugely in value due to a new development, so he sells it.

I'm the last person to get on someone's back for posting info. I'm also not inclined to believe a word coming from that guy.

To be quite honest, after watching people dishing out shit to the likes of @93.20blue who has gotten information repeatedly spot on, I find it funny that so many are taking this guy at his word when he's done nothing of the sort.

Life's too short bud.

People have various motives for posting on here. I try to keep my own counsel when I see some of the claims posted on these threads or elsewhere.

I might sometimes know when someone is trying it on, simply because of what might have been said privately elsewhere.

Yeah maybe you're right. I will keep my chuckles to myself.

I'd suspect zero hesitancy from Pep or Txiki if Messi doesn't push the button.

Aside from winning the Champions League, nothing else in club world football would give you immediately millions of new followers.

Exactly this, we would immediately improve our income by £100mill a year. £150 mill fee for a 3 year deal?
It would also give us a good reason to expand the family stand finally

Kai Havertz close to a €100 deal to Chelsea :(

So what? Bernardo Silva, Foden and KDB are all better footballers.

People seem to believe Havertz is a mix of Zidane, Messi, Ronaldo, Maradona and Pelé. He’s just a good footballer, no miracleworker.

Funny a pricetag of 100m make people believe it’s a world class player automatically. He has potential, but so has Ferran Torres.

And they still have a goalkeeper, centre-half and left-back to buy yet.

That's just for them to catch-up and before our own business is concluded.
It was mentioned a while back that we might be losing somebody we wouldn't expect to Tolm, have you heard any more on that?

This is why I've never held much credence to the Der Spiegel/ UEFA charges.

If any club truly wanted to bypass UEFA's rules, rather than doing it in a way which, if discovered, would leave them open to sanctions, there are many many ways of achieving that, without doing something piss obvious.
when messi signs,he could visit the heald green supporters club and put one of his socks up for auction, then a mysterious anonymous online bidder trumps the highest bid of £3.52(bit skint at the moment ) with a £100,000,000 million bid.jobs a goodun

Seems a similar situation to the Joao Felix one last year, crazy that these fees are being paid for what is for the most part potential.

Can you imagine the media meltdown, after accusing us since February of lying and deceiving UEFA and STILL accusing us of "getting away with it" , we announce the signing of Messi!
Just seeing the reaction would be absolutely hilarious and that's before he's kicked a ball for us.
Oh there will be some proper piss boiling from our lovely little chappies in the press.

Chelsea and roman have gone mad.....making up for the transfer ban
Chelsea could sign Ziyech, Werner, Kai Havertz , Thiago Silva , Chilwell and a new GK in the same window.
