I’d say I thought this about 3.5 years ago on Inauguration Day.
Saying it was the biggest crowds ever in the face of the pictures from Obama and others... it started then.

He’s been named in more court actions whilst president than all other presidents put together.

the basics of him as a person, are obvious.

Indeed. Glad we agree on what trump is.

Edit: the holocaust is but one (large) bit of the oppression of opposition by the nazi’s. Homosexuals, mentally challenged, roma , communists, ‘intellectuals’, trade unionists, religious ... effectively anyone deemed not ‘ok’ by the leader.

I don't think I need a history lesson from someone who thinks we've been living in the 1930's these past few years

I don't know that the parallels are that strong . . . but they're stronger than they've ever been since then. Sure, we interred Japanese people in the 40s, stomped all over the inalienable rights of non-white, non-male, non-straight citizenry for decades after, survived a criminal President in the 1970s . . . but at least we've made progress since.

However, two things: the economy is the worst its been since the 30s by several measurements, and to my knowledge no previous President has suggesting gassing immigrants the way Trump did (along with spikes to pierce flesh and an alligator moat at the wall).

He is the biggest Cnut you’ve had as POTUS ever though, I would bet.
Ex advisor to Nixon was on CNN today, written a book about Authoritarianism, says he makes Nixon look like a choirboy.
 
The First Lady to address the people from the rose garden.........................that will be the rose garden suddenly within a triple layer of security fences rendering the White House all but invisible to a tourist attraction? Getting somewhat Ceausescu on things isn't he?
 
Very dull tonight at the RNC. Obviously done the drug screening a lot better after yesterday's fiasco.

Just wondering if I'll bother tuning back in tomorrow for drafts 41 to 60 of the same speech.
