It's worth all the money in the world, just to boil the piss of the rags and media. The melt down would be epic.
I wonder what Aldridge will make of it in the Liverpool Echo !

City go to Anfield every year and it ends badly but we’ve still won 2 PL‘s out of the last 3 years, and 4 in the last 8.......Messi went to Anfield more than 12 months ago and it ended sadly but City fans want to dream.
FFS Messi!
Just wanted to be the first one.
The other story comes from Yahoo’s Jorge Nicola, and perhaps that’s even more shocking. He says Lionel Messi invited Neymar to join him at Manchester City.
It’s a person close to the Brazilian star who told the journalist that this invite was made even before Lionel Messi told Barcelona he’d leave the club.
“Messi asked Neymar to go to Manchester City,” the source told Jorge Nicola. “The idea is to form the trio of the times of Barcelona with Messi, Neymar and Guardiola.”
Ballague is is sometimes right and sometimes wrong, but he's wrong more often than he's right. At least in recent years.
You have to remember that any player has the right to say NO to join any Club. But, United does have history of going after superstars and paying over the top wages for them - Zlatan, Pogba, Sanchez. The Adidas connection also helps them. Other than that, everything favours a Messi to City transfer, including the similarity of the colour of the jersey. (Argentina - skyblue and white )
I wouldn't pay > £100m for him. At 33 he just isn't going to play how you remember. David has his day. As did Kompany. No one is above this law. But as you say, it's just football views and at the moment there is no right or wrong.

CR went to Juve for that at the same age
Seems to have worked out for them...

I can see Jordan Ibe going back!I wonder what Aldridge will make of it in the Liverpool Echo !
This might be premature, but will Aguero have to give Messi his number 10 shirt? Not sure I would agree with that.
Let us just look at this from a different angle for a minute, can we really afford the reported £1million a week wages?
Jesus probably is worth £100million. Now if we can get Otamendi valued at £100million then that would be impressive.
