Sorry chaps, I know ur not gnna like this. But I would seriously be happy if he went to PSG than us. The pressure is way too much for the club. At PSG he would piss all over that league, play in capital with Neymar and Mbappe. And would have a better chance of winning trophies. And better shot at champs league. Wouldn't have to play shit loads of games.

Over here he would be number1 target from the anti-city bandwagon. Opposing teams will try and kick him where possible, if we dont win the league media will start attacking this team "we beat u with Messi in your team" etc etc.

I've personally got no interest in being the biggest club in the world. I couldn't give a fuck.

If anything, I'd rather we stayed the size we are, kept a committed fan base and still got to see the best football.

Anyone who goes to the game regularly will tell you, adding a load of tourists to the crowd numbers doesn't make for a better experience.

If the fans have a small mentality of a little club then we don't deserve to win the CL and get Messi. We can never grow and we will forever have 1/4 empty stadiums week in week out.

We only seem to fill up when we play Liverpool and United. Doesn't that tell us something? That alot of our fans are still in the same mindset we were 20 years ago. There's still a small mentality at the club, albeit our away support has always been absolutely fantastic.

We've got to think bigger than Ian Brightwell, David Flitcroft and Antoine Sibierski.

Alright but where is he gonna play? He's main position is RW and cuts inside onto his left. We have Bernardo and Mahrez there, so if Messi starts every game those two will always be on the bench.

Bernardo's best position is RCM where KDB plays but he's irreplaceable there and Mahrez can only play RW.

Pep won't play Messi as a false 9 coz he can't press unless we play someone from the bottom half.

The pressure will be to play Messi in every game coz how can you have world's supposedly greatest on the bench? Someone will have to be offloaded. Bernardo most likely. No chance Jesus will go coz it's Aguero's last season. Either Mahrez or Bernardo would have to go.

Unless Pep decides to play something like 4-2-4 so we still have two wide wingers (Sterling/Torres and Mahrez/Bernardo on each side and then ST and Messi as a second striker. Or something like 4-3-1-2 with Messi in a no. 10 role behind the two strikers (Jesus/Kun and Sterling) but again Torres, Mahrez and Bernardo all on the bench.

They can't afford his wages but maybe his transfer fee. There is also the longevity question which is after 2 years winning nowt under Solksjaer what does he do? Go back to Barcelona? The only club I'm bothered about is PSG because the city let's face it is a much bigger draw for his family, and they can probably afford him.
