I would apply the same idea to every player in the world except Messi. If we get this guy we can simply buy any striker in the world next year because the club revenue will rocket. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

This is exactly one of the points I was making, in my reservations about signing Messi; it becomes all about him.

It's not all about him, it's a team & we will regret it, if we base our 60 game season on two old fuckers in the centre of our attack, even if they are Aguero & Messi. One is often injured & the other is due an injury.

It would be a stupid gamble to stick Messi in a squad with 1, old striker in it, who has barely ever played a decent game in a team with Messi.

Keeping Jesus is all about Messi though!

You need someone who will do so much running and pressing and harrying that it makes up for Messi being a bit half-hearted about it and saving his energy.

Being a finisher is not the same as being a striker. Cristiano Ronaldo is possibly the best finisher in the world, he's a shit striker. Messi was never a striker.
