I think there is some truth in this in that. We think we know that City where going to have a good transfer window before Messi based on ITK and rumours and frankly we needed a good window. We have also been told by alleged ITK that Messi is separate to other transfer. However how would Martinez work if we got Messi yes they play in different positions and are different player but surely Aguero will then extend his contract and surely there will be games where Messi plays down the middle due to his age and speed and energy of the prem wont he struggle out wide. How do we fit Martinez Aguero Jesus Messi in the front positions on top of Sterling Mahrez Torres and possibly Foden and Bernardo from time to time. Plus Sterling and perhaps even Torres Foden and Kevin can play down the middle or might be able to.

I can only think therefore that he has been told of other players coming in with the exception of a striker.
