I may be wrong, and I don’t speak for everyone but it could just be that the loss on Saturday and the manner of exiting the competition is still fresh in everyone’s minds

Folk are venting or trying to get over it in some way. Thus Kevin’s win feeling meh. I haven’t watched or viewed anything football but I saw the interview where he mentioned the ‘different year, same thing’ (paraphrasing).

Regardless, deserves the plaudits and accolades. If the Lyon result was different, this thread may have been packed as he’d have been credited for being the one trying to drag the team into the SF.

I am Sorry but Henderson should have won the award. He is the greatest midfielder I have ever seen. Better than Makelele, Zidane, Xavi etc. KDB is nowhere close to the legend in terms of passing, ball control, and shooting. As someone said, “ You are either a shooting specialist or a dribbling specialist or a passing specialist Or..... you are Jordan Henderson”.
