If the release clause expired prior to this season then it would be admitting that the "termination" clause expired too, as a new season and new terms have kicked in; i.e. No release clause.

What about the £375k a week mentioned?

What about it? It’s a fair wage and will include sponsorship dealings, shirt sales etc. £375k pw is £19.5m a year. We have 42 sponsors who all signed a Messi tax agreement apparently, if they all added £1m a year as a minimum that’s £42m extra so we’d be making £22.5m profit, but bigger sponsors will pay bigger money so in reality it’ll be a lot lot more.
