If the La Liga statement is true, then no where for City to go really. It’ll be up to Messi to see if he wants to legally challenge it. I think he’d have a very good case due to Covid but it’ll probably take a long time to resolve. Think we should keep monitoring the situation but put it on the back burner and try to get our other transfer priorities sorted.
 
The saga seems to change hour by hour. Surely a contract is just that, a contract? If it does say he is free to leave at the end of every season, or he was free to leave at the end of this season there is nothing to debate. The season being extended due to the virus shouldn't alter that as it's something unprecedented.
 
Yes they lose Messi anyway next summer the latest.

If he ends up staying I hope will fake injury for 7 months and then plays some games where he intentionally misses chances.

Wonder who Tebas will side with in the Messi v Barcelona struggle ? Bet it would be different if Messi wanted to join United or the Dippers. Tebas hates CIty with a passion and we ain't going to pay 700m release clause.

Well he stays for his final year then leaves on a free will cost Barcelona 150m if he goes for nowt they saved that they are in shit lot of debt.

If this happens, never mind all those you’ve mentioned.
What it will prove and the media will know it, is that those at the top of the game know the truth of what is happening in football.
The media and cartel can ignore or spin it any way they like but the players and their agents know the score.
We will be more attractive a prospect for any player once Messi makes the jump.
