Eric Garcia to Barcelona

The moment Garcia said he wanted out was the moment I wanted him to go. I don't want to see any player at our club no matter how good they are or how good they potentially are.
Exactly my sentiments. Also should of been nowhere near the line up v Lyon. Should of been left out of the squad as soon as the transfer request came in. Sooner the better get goes imo.

I am not totally against bringing more kids from Spain the trick is keeping them fully focused at City.
Always going to be difficult, I have total respect for those kids and living in Manchester.

The difference in culture and climate is huge.

He's never submitted a transfer request.

Sorry he didn't hand in a transfer request.
He told Pep he will not sign a new contract, Why play somebody that doesn't want to be at the football club, No point him being here if his heart isn't in it.

Is it all that different from Pep telling Bayern he was going to leave at the end of his contract six months before the end of the season? He still did his job professionally in the meantime

This always gets me too. We must have a forum of absolute cretins who purposefully do the worst job possible when they've handed in their notice, as they seemingly all think it's impossible to be professional after doing so.

Being a kid is irrelevant, although it does mean technically we will get a tribunal fee according to the Bosman ruling, probably very little compared to what we would want as a transfer fee.
It is relevant to me , that kind of mindset and arrogance when he hasnt done anything to deserve it in his career yet, we have developed him, he should feel more loyalty to us and go when we can get some money and not wanting to go on a free
He wants to stay the year now messi is coming , sod him, sell him to barca then he will never get to play with him, most disappointed with him

I understand the resentment but as long as he fulfils his contractual obligations, then as with Sane, I don't see a problem. I'd obviously prefer to sell him if we can get a decent fee for him but if not, he stays and fights for his place as far as I'm concerned. If he is performing better than the other CB's, then there's no reason not to play him, if not he sits on the bench or in the stands.

He doesn't 'fight' for his place though does he ? He just gets it handed to him.

If he had to 'fight' for it, people like Taylor Harwood Bellis would kick his wimpy little arse.

Not impossible though to keep them from the clutches of the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid. We shouldn't totally give up on bringing the kids from Spain.

Yeah because Pep just hands out places to his favourites like Garcia and Gundogan, there's absolutely no tactical thought process behind it at all. I do sometimes wonder how he won so many trophies, lucky fucker.

He is worth a lot of money, we are buying centre backs, it makes no sense to lose out on millions, you sell players now whilst you can,if he was one of our oldies then keep him but not the young ones who are worth a lot
His attitude is my problem

Why is Garcia any different to Sane? I remember you defending Sane quite vehemently, so I'm quite surprised by your stance on Garcia. Unless I've missed something, I don't understand how your thoughts have changed.

Garcia is under contract, he's happy to fulfil his contractual obligations. At that stage he's done what we signed him to do and if he wants to walk away at that stage, he's free to do so (tribunal aside).

Like I said selling him would be the best option for City but if like Sane, Garcia has his heart set on returning to his home, in this case Barcelona, then that's where he'll end up. You can't force the lad to leave and you can't force Barcelona to stump up the transfer fee we want, Garcia holds all the cards unfortunately.

I'm not sure this argument has any validity anymore tbh.

He just gave us the worst tactical thought process since Stuart Pearce played David James at cf.

He gets it wrong sometimes, even when he gets it right he sometines gets part of it wrong but gets away with it because of how good he is at the other stuff.

That will need to be the case if Garcia plays next season. Yet another handicap, like Kolarov at cb or Gubdogan right midfield etc etc.

He's shit, Sané isn't ?

Just a thought.

Oh of course he gets it wrong, every fucker on the planet makes mistakes but to say there's no thought process behind the mistakes is simply ignorant. And you can add insulting to that too.
