You have to love the calmness and blasé attitude Messi’s dad is displaying. Huge drama flying 10,000km and the worlds media following him everywhere. He visits his offices, visits his apartment, meets his other son for a nice casual meal.. No urgency, no rush, all calm and collective. But he doesn’t need to rush around or demand anything, as far as they are concerned Messi is a free agent so it’s for Barça to do the chasing here.
In the other camp, they’ll be scrambling around, sweating it out and have no doubt been highly strung all day also following Messi’s dads routine. I think they’ve played a blinder and taken the feeling of urgency out of the situation. Had he landed and gone in all guns blazing then the Messi camp would of lost all the bargaining chips. Going this route means they can dictate the way it’s played out.
best move he could possibly do next is cancel the meeting and say he’ll have it in a day or two, then rock up first thing in the morning before they’ve had breakfast.
 
am starting to think maybe city should kill the deal and look elsewhere

i know we are talking about messi here, but its not the messi we all knew and age catches with everybody
are we all are hoping we get a messi from 2012 ? because even at £100 million in todays market for a 33 year old is daft
we could get a young talent like a João Félix or dare i say sancho for less

city are starting to look like fools chasing somebody at 33 and willing to pay £100 million just to sign him never mind his wages ? if he comes for free then that's a different story and i can understand the chase but time is just about up for me on this

city arent chasing anybody though??? side note messi at 33 is still the best player in the world, the guy put up other wordly stats on a horrible barca team, the notion that he is past it is way overblown and honestly stupid

Stop with the bullshit it's Messi ffs he'll be more than a fucking player for us.
