I’ll miss this thread when it’s all over. It’s been ages since I’ve had a thread where I click on and see 20 new pages and actually take the time to catch up.

Explains the rates
Mate I was agreeing with you, the influx of bets caused rates to flyThis morning messi to sign for city was 1/2 on: meaning for everyone 2 you put on you’d win 1..
he then went out to 11/1 meaning every 2 you put on you’d win 22 lol ,
all the time to stay went to heavily odds on with the share amount of money backed on the exchanges ..
it’s balancing out now but you can still get the same odds for messi to join as before this saga started .
And it is invariably absolute nonsense.I’ll miss this thread when it’s all over. It’s been ages since I’ve had a thread where I click on and see 20 new pages and actually take the time to catch up.
It's not even one thread to keep track of it's two!!!My business wont miss it.
I've got fucking work to do and this is like crack fucking coke!
Great speech !I think about the greats at the club and their exits, perhaps it is not a surprise considering the contentious nature of politics & money. Some saw it coming from day one, I figured they would push him out eventually but I did not envision it like this
Of course, I also did not envision Bartomeu running the club (into the ground) this poorly much less socis doing little to nothing about removing him. As I say, sometimes you get what you deserve rather than what you need. Bartomeu is the devil but club members, they let this happen and so they share culpability IMHO. Many of us have complained & campaigned to do something but it all too often fell on deaf ears or was drowned out by the propaganda machine of the board - this is not revelatory since we see similar tactics in US politics
I am (or I will be once this sideshow ends) thrilled to see Leo with a smile and playing under Pep again, presumably with a formidable supporting cast to enthrall us all
You thought the anti-City narratives & biases were insufferable before, just wait - the CR debates are only the tip. But it will be wonderful to watch
I'll quote one of the greatest posters of this forum who had perfect insight about the issue:He's a brilliant talent but a shite professional, I don't see that changing and there's no reason to be disappointed by it - lacking that singular focus is a trait only a handful of the greatest footballers had
Meanwhile, PSG will never get the fee they are touting, particularly when they effectively dumped him onto the market and that peak Neymar was 4 years ago. His value could only be less than it was 2 seasons ago but Qataris only seem to understand indentured servitude and oil - business much less football, not at all. And no, despite the exit from the Parisian gulag being next to impossible they have not contended with brand Neymar in this regard - I believe there will be plenty of drama ahead
How do we know if that Argentine is right though? Isn't it just one person's word against another? ha
EDIT - I think you're right, apologies.
Amateur hourDailymail have deleted their headline that he may stay based on that mis-quote from the Spanish press.
Players like that don't exactly grow on trees. On a positive side if we don't get him, getting Messi could halt us signing players for the next 3 summer transfer windows just purely due to his wages and .
Maybe the best approach is to go for a player who's going to be the next big thing like Chelsea have with Havertz. We could sort 3 problem spots out in our squad this summer and get Messi on a free next summer.
Just a suggestion.
But if he doesn't come we could - as suggested sort a deal out for the Summer of 2021.Players like that don't exactly grow on trees.
How does it get from here? Both sides must be thinking they are winning.I think it is a more realistic assessment of where we are at.
The exit will have to be stage managed. The starting positions were too combative and everyone needed to dial their attitudes back a little bit. Part of that requires both sides to look like they're considering the position of the other. Which I think is where we are.
A bit late in all of this but it does beg the question of why Messi hasn't hired a better agent than his own father to facilitate his exit better
Trust is difficult in this game and Leo is super cautious in that regard but surely there's an agent that could be better served to deal with a scoundrel like Bartomeu
