I have not seen any media saying Messi has agreed to sign a renewal. Just that Bartomeu is blocking his exit this year. The 2 year offer is just Bartomeu pipe dream at this point.

I do wonder whether he has offered something to Messi that he can't refuse, so maybe it's not so much against his will..

Maybe he's been offered something more than football? Maybe he never wanted to leave in the first place, and it was just a show to get Barto to do something, and now he's doing whatever that something is? FUCK KNOWS with these clowns.

They have over 200m pounds higher revenue than us. They are paying out crazy amount of wages (over 100m pounds more than anybody else) but they are not in deep shit.

Surely it would be leaked on the Barça side if he was staying by now , if the messi’s had informed Bart he was gonna stay , Bart would be telling everyone

The team is aging, they are highly in debt. Regardless of the wage bill how do they think to become a good team again. They are going to have to spend 100’s of millions of dollars to compete with the worlds best again. That’s with or without messi

how much would is cost to bring in mbappe or João Félix both would have longer career and the hunger to win the big titles, messi could be special but also could be a flop

does messi really want this or is he playing the both of us and knows the only winner in all this is messi himself

As things have played out thus far, there are no “winners” in this situation, unless he ultimately comes to us.

That is a fair point and true. My point is that they are under no pressure to start cashing in.

Of course like most clubs they can't afford 100m transfers this window but that revenue alone is enough to keep them afloat.
