I'm confident we'll close Koulibaly and get someone else too. Pep's future rests on this window.

I will be suprised City get the Koulabily deal done, ADL is wanting far to much money time to move on imo

£80m + no thanks...

"We cannot do it in summer, we cannot do it in January," Guardiola said. "I don't want any players in January

"When an incredible opportunity comes in January for the next four or five or six years, maybe we can think about it. But that is not possible. Normally the players we think could be interesting, [clubs] are not going to sell them.

Is this a new quote or an old quote?

that was a quote from last january wasnt it? i think pep was pissed we never got maguire in the summer and then the defence fell apart and it was a dig and not sorting the problem in the summer.

Why you putting quotes up from 2019?

Apparently Messi passed the covid test yesterday and will train with the squad today 5 30 pm local time

I m sure the chance for us to sign him are gone, but only interested to know what @tolmie's hairdoo has heard to still say there is a chance

I think we can probably relax about it for a while. The window doesn't shut till October, So all sides will be playing the time pressure delay game. Messi returns to training today, all will be proclained as fine this week. Barcelona play their first league game on saturday, then the questions will really start. Does he start, who misses out, does he play tbe full 90mins, did he celebrate, did he walk past koeman appropriately, whatcis his body language like, etc etc. Plus all the pre and post match questions will mostly focus on that.

Till then, i'll try enjoy the calm. (although i do admit i miss the madness of the threads).

I still am convinced it is over by the way, messi seemed fairly over it and past rocking it further. But Barcelona certainly will have to now endure the fallout.

He has said it every year , he does not like to sign players in January, unless there is long term value for the club.
